Outdoor & Pool Areas

The outdoor setting at Akara Villas offers guests plenty of options to spread out and enjoy the tropical ambience; a large timber pool deck to one side of the pool with recliners is perfect for the tanning enthusiasts, and at one end of the pool, a sheltered bale ideal for those wanting to sit out of the sun with a good book. An array of tall palms and the poolside water feature round out this stunning setting.

Living Areas

Set back from the pool deck, the main living pavilion consisting of a lounge and dining area, is fully air-conditioned and features a large sofa around the flat-screen TV with live sports and movie channels. The rustic timber dining table has six comfortable rattan chairs for friends and family to enjoy great meals together prepared by the chef. If you prefer an alfresco experience, open the large sliding doors and let the ocean breezes filter through.

3 Bedrooms

Two ensuite bedrooms feature plush king-size beds with a third twin configuration that can easily be converted to a king. The rooms are simple yet elegant, with stylish padded headrests. The beds also feature mosquito netting. The stylish en-suites feature beautiful granite surfaces with twin vanities, monsoon showers, are delightful built-in soaking tubs.

Around Akara Villas, Seminyak (near the beach, cafes & day spas)

Located in a quiet lane off Jalan Petitenget, guests can easily walk to all the best attractions; Potato Head is 2 minutes away, as are some of the best restaurants, including Merah Putih and Sarong. Head to the beach and take a relaxing stroll to Batu Belig Beach, or head south, and you will reach the famous Ku de ta Beach Club and Jalan Oberoi; everything is right on your doorstep at Villa Akara.

Travelling with kids?  Take them to the Finns Recreation Club, with waterslides, ten-pin bowling and a massive indoor trampoline centre. They’ll also enjoy a surf lesson at Seminyak Beach, where you can hire boards and instructors. For dinner, they’ll love the burgers at BossMan, Grill’d, Sisterfields, and Johnny Rockets, which are all close by. For dessert, there are doughnuts at Dough Darlings, yummy gelato at Gusto in Kerobokan and treats at Candylicious at Seminyak Village.

Day Spas.  Ladies, get totally pampered at the many-day spas near the villa, where you can get your hair and nails done, waxing, and have a fabulous Balinese massage. Head to Rob Peetoom or Sundari Day Spa in Peitenget, Think Pink Nails in Batu Belig and Spring Day Spa at Seminyak Village for the best treatments.

Shopping.  Spend the day walking up and down Jalan Kayu Aya or Eat Street, which has many boutique shops selling clothes, homewares, jewellery and souvenirs. For more shopping options, Legian and Kuta are a short taxi ride away, where you can enjoy bargaining with locals. Or visit large shopping centres like Lippo, Discovery Shopping Mall, and Bali Galleria.

Beach Clubs. Seminyak is the beach club heart of Bali, and Akara Villas is near some of the best, where you can watch the sunset with a few cocktails and cold Bintangs and enjoy fine dining and chilled music. Head to KU DE TA or Potato Head in  Seminyak, Mari Beach Club in Petitenget or the new mega beach club Atlas Beach Fest in Berawa

Fancy Partying?  Start the night at The Champagne Bar, Social, The Goat or The Forge on Eat Street. Then, it’s off to Motel Mexicola for tacos and tequila. Continue the party at La Favela or Shi Shi, where you can dance till dawn.

Sightseeing. From the villa, you can easily explore other parts of the island. Ensure you visit Tanah Lot Temple (for sunset photos), Ubud’s famous Monkey Forest Temple,  Uluwatu Temple for the famous Kecak Dance, Kuta Beach for sunset Bintangs and shopping and Canggu’s popular Batu Bolong area.
