Villa Des Indes I is a tropical 4-bedroom Seminyak villa holiday rental, sleeping up to 8 guests. The villa boasts a fabulous central Seminyak location displaying antique Javanese architecture, an amazing art collection from the region, a large natural free-form tropical style swimming pool with gazebo,  private chef, butler, breakfast included and just a 5 min walk to the beach at the iconic Ku De Ta Beach Club.

Outdoor & Pool Areas

The natural free-form tropical pool meanders its way through the lush and mature gardens and the villa’s living pavilions and antique bedrooms. A lush lawn surrounds the pool, a traditional bale is tucked in the tropical foliage for an afternoon massage or some shut-eye, and the pool has an island where you can sit on the steps and bask in the Bali sun.

Living Areas

The calming influence of the koi fish pond sings a song with its fountains; the living areas are sophisticated with hand-picked antique furnishings, all blending perfectly with warming oriental carpets and artworks from the bygone Batavia Era. From this open-air pavilion, you slip straight into the pool or take time out on one of the many comfy armchairs or plush sofas. The kitchen is housed in a separate pavilion in the garden; a chaired bar is perfect for morning coffees or a cold ring during the day.

The bedrooms have a cozy feel with natural timbers, oriental floor rugs, built-in bookcases and polished timber floors. The villa has two master suites, an antique bathtub set in a glass wall, and a private outdoor shower under the skies. The second master suite has all the luxuries of the first, with sheer curtains hanging from the bed on four posts. Bedroom three has a king-size bed with a private study and a cozy lounge with a TV; the fourth bedroom has twin single beds, and both of these rooms are located in a separate pavilion called the treehouse.

Des Indes I sits securely within the Laksmana Villas, an exclusive villa estate in the heart of Seminyak. There’s no need to take taxis, as Seminyak’s popular boutiques, lifestyle shops, and spas are all within easy walking distance – what a top location for a breezy Bali holiday!

Travelling with kids? Take them to Waterbom Bali in Kuta for a fun day out on the waterslides or perhaps a surf lesson at Double Six Beach, where you can hire boards and instructors by the hour. For dinner, there’s pizza and fun times at Da Maria in Petitenget, burgers at BossMan, Grill’d, or Johnny Rockets in Seminyak Central, and for dessert, there’s yummy gelato at Gusto in Kerobokan.

Cafes & restaurants. Seminyak has loads of fabulous places where you can grab a quick coffee of the go or take the kids for a bite to eat. Make sure you visit Sisterfields, the popular Revolver and Cornerhouse nearby. For upmarket dining, there’s Si Jin, Merah Putih, MamaSan and Metis.

Want to party? Start the night at The Champagne Bar or The Forge, which are both on Eat Street, for pre-dinner drinks. Then it’s off to Motel Mexicola for tacos, tequila and lots of fun. Continue the party at La Favela or Shi Shi, where you can party late.

Shopping. Seminyak has many fine shopping boutiques, jewellery, homewares and souvenir shops close to the villa. Head to Jalan Kaya Aya or Eat Street and simply walk around. For more shopping options, Legian and Kuta are great, as is Canggu’s popular Jalan Batu Bolong area.

Day Spas. Ladies, there are lots of fabulous day spas nearby where you can get your hair and nails done and get a dreamy Balinese massage. For the best treatments, we recommend Spring Day Spa at Seminyak Village, The Shampoo Lounge or The Blow Bar in central Seminyak. In Petitenget, there’s Rob Peetoom or Sundari Day Spa.

Beach Clubs. Some of the best beach clubs in Bali are all near Villa Des Indes, where you can enjoy magical beach views and gorgeous sunsets with a couple of cocktails or Bintangs. Make sure you go to KU DE TA or Potato Head, and in Batu Belig, there’s Cafe Del Mar. For a treat, also go to the new Atlas BeachFest in Bearwa or the popular Finns.
