It will be hard to find a tropical outdoor setting that rivals that of Villa Gita Segara; the large pool is central to the garden, and a palimanan stone pool deck is the perfect place to relax on stylish sun lounges under the shade of the towering coconut palms, you could be in the Bahamas or the Indies, the setting is unbeatable. Stone paths are separated by manicured lawns, and direct access to the beach gives you the opportunity for a leisurely swim or some snorkelling in the ocean; the kids will be ecstatic with their new tropical playground.

Living Areas

A large rustic dining table with comfortable high-back timber chairs is set in an open-air alcove where guests can enjoy alfresco dining at its very best with views out to the ocean. There’s a separate dining table for 8 in the kitchen area for air-conditioned comfort, and the kitchen provides the very best of imported appliances. The enclosed living room is very spacious and beautifully decorated with fine furnishings, hanging chandeliers, a large flat-screen TV and a great stereo system that will radiate your favourite music into the gardens. If you like to keep in shape, you will love the gym, fully equipped with professional weight training and cardiovascular machinery. And if it’s time to relax, head to the designated spa room for an in-house traditional Balinese massage for complete rejuvenation.

The master suite is on the upper floor with a private balcony offering gorgeous ocean views; the floor-to-ceiling glass walls allow you to lay back in your king-size bed and take it all in. Sheer mosquito netting will make for a peaceful night’s sleep, and you can relax in your own room while watching TV on the sofa setting or head out onto the balcony, where an outdoor lounge with umbrellas is a great spot for a private breakfast. The en-suite once again gives you views of the ocean, even as you bathe in the huge soaking tub. Three more suites are located downstairs with great views of the pool and gardens, with one of the suites, a standalone structure featuring a dramatic burgundy interior.

Villa Gita Segara has a team of endearing hospitality professionals who will provide you with warm and discreet service throughout your stay. The team is headed by the villa manager, with daily housekeeping staff, butlers and chefs taking care of all your catering needs. The local chef will be happy to conduct a cooking class for you and will provide you with delectable meals of local and international flare.

Around Villa Gita Segara, Candidasa (sensational beachfront location)

Candidasa is a seaside fishing village where you can take pleasant walks along the beach and watch the fisherman ply their trade. There are some good restaurants close to the villa, including Lezat Beach Restaurant, Loaf Bakery, Vincent’s, Crazy Kangaroo and The Hungry Crocodile, to name a few. There are plenty of ancient temples to explore. Spend a few hours at the Pasir Putih Beach, or maybe visit the local chocolate factory. If you want to do some shopping, the closest area in Sanur is about a 60-minute drive away. Your villa manager can arrange a car and driver to take you there.

Most people come here to chill out at their villa, swim in the ocean, snorkel, watch the sea life and enjoy what is possibly the best part of the island.
