Just a 200-metre stroll and you are at the popular Berawa Beach, a popular surf spot and a hive of activity with loads of great cafes, shops & Finns Club.

Travelling with kids? They’ll like a surf lesson at Berawa Beach, where you can hire boards & an instructor by the hour or a game of Padel Tennis at the many centres nearby. Follow this up with dinner at Mades Warung for an authentic Indonesian meal, great food at Milk and Madu, pizza at Luigi’s, pasta at Bottega or delish food at Copenhagen.

Day Spas. For the ladies, there are loads of upmarket day spas nearby where you can get your hair and nails done, plus have one of those fabulous Balinese massages. For the best treatments, go to Rob Peetoom in Petitenget, Think Pink Nails in Batu Belig & Flow or JAMU along Jalan Pantai Berawa.

Cafes & restaurants. There are also many fabulous cafes nearby where you can get your daily coffee fixed and have a bite to eat with the kids. Make sure you go to the super-popular Milk & Madu (they have kiddies’ play area),   NUDE, Gigi Susu, Copenhagen, Butterman or BAKED for pastries and the vegans Crate Cafe or Shady Shack, is a must – there’s even a Gloria Jeans nearby for a quick coffee.

Shopping. If you want to shop, all you need to do is make your way to the Batu Bolong area in Canggu or Eat Street in Seminyak, where there are loads of shopping options. For more shopping options, hop into a Blue Bird taxi and go to the Kartika Plaza area in Kuta (30 minutes away), which has larger shopping centres such as Lippo Mall and Discover Shopping Plaza. Jalan Pantai Berawa near the villa also presents some decent shopping options as the area is fast developing into a prime shopping hub.

Beach Clubs. For a treat, head to Atlas, rent your private day bed or cabana and enjoy the food, chilled music and sensational beach views. Other beach clubs worth visiting nearby include Old Man’s, Cafe Del Mar,  Nuana, La Brisa, Mari Beach House, Ku De Ta and Potato Head.

Fancy Partying? Start the night off at Finn’s Beach Club or Black Sand Brewery nearby for a few pre-dinner drinks, and then it’s off to the new Motel Mexicola at Old Man’s Beach (at the end of Jl Batu Bolong) for tacos, tequila & lots of fun. Continue the party at Sandbar, where you can dance till late.
