Living areas

Villa Markisa features traditional architecture with thatched rooftops and breezy terraces overlooking the garden and pool. The interior design is inspired by nature with custom teak furniture, hand-picked Bali art and hand-beaten copper lamps. Kitchen appliances are of the highest quality, and there is an island bar with high chairs to sit with drinks. The white sofa is incredibly comfortable, perfect for curling up with a book or simply lounging a bit while enjoying the garden view.

A Private Garden of Eden

The open living room flows out to the stone sundeck with sunbeds from where you can access the lagoon-like infinity swimming pool. Lush tropical greenery grows all around the pool and the garden bungalows. The garden has sunshine all day long, but there are shady spots as well and large sun umbrellas for snoozing out of the sun.

Villa Markisa houses 3 air-conditioned bedrooms. The master suite is tucked in a private stand-alone garden bungalow, and it features a king-size bed (configurable into twins), a satellite TV, a dressing room and a private en-suite bathroom with an alfresco rain shower and bathtub. The other 2 bedrooms share one garden bungalow together, and these rooms are interconnected, which is perfect for a family. Each room has a private terrace, dressing space and a beautiful garden bathroom with an outdoor shower and a bath.

Akilea Estate is located off the main road that leads from the airport to the beaches in Uluwatu (Jalan Raya Uluwatu). The location is private and quiet, and it takes just a 10-minute drive to get to famous beaches such as Dreamland, Bingin, Padang Padang and Suluban Beach.

Families with kids will love Padang Padang Beach and the Uluwatu Temple, where you can see a traditional Balinese Kecak Dance.

Surfers have many surf spots to choose from, such as Padang, Bingin, Uluwatu, Bingin &  Greenbowl, and beach lovers won’t get enough of exploring all of the hidden beaches in the area on a motorbike. You can make a circle around the southern tip of Bali to see all of them.

Travelling with kids? Take them for a surf lesson at Padang or Dreamland Beach or perhaps a fun day out on the massive waterslides at Waterbom Bali in Kuta. The Samasta Lifestyle Village and Sidewalk Mall have fast food and cafes if you want to treat them to a meal. Seminyak & Kuta’s fun shopping and entertainment area is only 45 minutes away by taxi.

From the villa, keep driving towards the Uluwatu temple, Ungasan, and Pandawa, and you will hit Nusa Dua, Jimbaran and back to the villa.
