On the outskirts of Canggu, heading towards Kerobokan, you’ll find the super busy Semer area, home to the James Cook Sports Bar. The Plumbers Arms

This is the ultimate English pub-style sports bar. It offers an extensive menu of food (Western and Indonesian) and a huge selection of beers and wines. On the crowded Jalan Semer, it might be a bit hard to find, but once you get here, it’s worth it for the cosy home-style vibes with the many TV screens, beer garden, darts, and outdoor seating. There are not as many large TV screens as in other sports bars, but visibility is fine, and everyone can watch the game from their table or bar stool. The vibe is very local, with expats from the Umalas and Kerobokan areas all coming here as their locals. Get here if you can, even for the food, as it’s really good for their fish and chips, curries, and schnitzels.
