Outdoor & Pool Areas
The pool stretches 25 meters across the front of the villa, manicured lawns encircle it, and on the far side, relaxing sun lounges with parasols lay in wait for those seeking a tan. A gazebo is a perfect spot for some alfresco lunchtime dining, and a large bale at the end of the pool features a lovely day bed with soft cushions, perfect for some light reading or just dozing off mid-afternoon. Soaring coconut palms gently sway in the tropical breeze; what a fantastic playground for the kids.

The entire downstairs living space is open-air, lending itself to the cooling sea breezes, tropical gardens and pool area. Jemeluk Point offers amazing views of the bay, and Pasir Putih Beach offers a great place to stroll. Ahmed is just an hour’s drive away, where you can enjoy some amazing scuba diving and snorkelling.

Villa Gils is one of the most gorgeous villas we have stayed in Bali. The pool, garden areas were perfect for our family of 6. A huge advantage was the beach which was literally a short 5 minute walk away which was ideal. The villa itself was meticulously cleaned daily and the overall ambiance was relaxed and very easy going - which is exactly what we were looking for. We definitely recommend this villa for anyone wanting a really relaxing getaway in Bali.

Villa Gils was in 1 word; sensational. The staff were a real highlight and the villa manager was there to make sure everything was perfect for us and the children. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him. The villa is so so much better than the photos that you really don't expect that kind of wow factor when you arrive - go for it - you will love it!

After a long trip form the UK to Bali all we wanted to do was relax, unwind and soak up the wonderful atmosphere that is Bali. Villa Gili was perfect for our needs and we felt the pressure and jetlag peel away from the moment we arrived - loved the staff and the location - so sad to leave - we will be back next time we come to Bali

My husband and I spend 10 days in this wonderful villa with our 3 children. We loved the fact that we could easily get to the beach for the afternoon - the villa staff and the manager made us feel welcome for the second we arrived.
The pool was where we spend most of our time and was super large - perfect for the kids who were in it the whole day. We are so glad that we found this piece of paradise and are happy to recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic Stay
We enjoyed 6 relaxing nights at Villa Gils as a family of 2 adults and 3 teenagers. The villa has been very well maintained and is well laid out. The location is very peaceful in the small village of Mendira. The village has a few small convenience shops were you can grab beers etc and there's some good local restaurants within walking distance. Candidasa is about a 5 minute drive away, check out Vincent's restaurant for a great meal.
The staff at the villa are amazing, nothing is too much trouble and they can all cook up a storm. We only ate a handful of meals away from the villa, as the food was so good and prices charged for lunch and dinner were value for money. Meal times were a highlight.
The pool is huge and theres a smaller section that would be perfect for small children, the large section has a shallow and deep end which gets to about 1.6m deep.
I have no hesitation in recommending this villa. If you're sick of the crowds in the south part of Bali, do yourself a favour and come up to Candi, Its a fantastic spot and really reminds me of the Bali I used to come to when I was young back in the 80s. No one hassling you as you walk down the street, just friendly faces and a chilled out vibe.
Bonus tip - Take a drive up to Jemeluk bay in Amed, the snorkeling off the beach is world class.
