Villa Kalua is a 4-bedroom Umalas holiday villa rental & is part of the Blue Karma villa complex and a wonderful mix of elaborately configured traditional Joglo pavilions. This is a  sprawling tropical hideaway with an enormous private pool and the ultimate in deluxe living and entertainment amenities of the highest calibre.

Villa Kalua caters to 8 holiday makers on the fringes of Seminyak, Berawa and Canggu in peaceful Umalas.

Outdoor & Pool Areas

The enormous outdoor pool winds its way through the perfectly maintained tropical gardens, soft manicured lawns for the kids to run and play, quaint bridges leading a path across enchanting and calming koi fish ponds, traditional Balinese parasols offering shade to those resting by the pool from the comfort of the king-sized daybeds; this private sanctuary offers an amazing Bali hideaway, one of peace, quiet and sheer delights.

Living Areas

The main living pavilion is a traditional Javanese Joglo structure fashioned from old teak timbers, its intricate carvings a testament to the skills of the local craftsman. A secondary pavilion is dedicated to dining for the whole family with a state-of-the-art kitchen, in both of these Joglo’s you will be sense the class and sophistication, and appreciate the lengths the owners have gone to in choosing hand-picked ornaments, statues and artworks that make this such a beautiful living environment. Be seated at the large glass-topped dining table as Wayan the masterful private chef serves up delicacies of Asian influence that will have your mouth watering for the sumptuous family banquet.

4 Spacious bedrooms

The bedrooms are in essence a private sanctuary for guests to complete privacy with the comfort of air-conditioning if desired. The villas master suite overlooks the pool with a king-sized bed and custom furnishings of the highest calibre offer comfort as well as a private place for holiday relaxation. Walk-in robes, mini-bar, safety box and the luxury of your own private plunge pool are sure to exceed your expectations. Two guest suites are equally lavish, located in private Joglo pavilions around the gardens with the third attached to one of the main living pavilions. All boast king-size beds, open-air en-suites and all the luxury and amenities of the Master suite.

Staff & Services

The staff are very friendly and welcoming, very experienced in looking after families with children, providing attentive service but always having your personal privacy at the forefront of their dignified daily service regime. They can assist with a full range of child care appliances and services and look after any additional requests such as an in-house massage or booking an exciting day trip around the island.

The villa is located in the quiet and slow-paced area of Umalas which is just a 10 min drive to the bustling and popular Seminyak with all of its famous restaurants and wonderful day and night clubs such as Ku De Ta, Potato Head and Mano Beach House. Close to the villa have a relaxing brunch in the rice terraces at the Nook Café, or make it an amazing night out  at Motel Mexicola, La Lucciola or Sarong.

Travelling with kids? The Finns Recreation Club in Berawa with water slides, ten pin bowling and trampolines is nearby. You might even like to take them to Asia’s premier theme park Watrebom Bali in Kuta for a fun day out for the whole family.

There are some great cafes in Umalas where you can have a coffee and a bite to eat with the kids. Make sure you go to the popular Dua, Bucu or Monsieur Spoon (they make the best croissants & pastries) or the popular 7 AM : Bakers Club. Berawa is only 5-10 min away and this is jam-packed full of exciting cafes  & restaurants to eat. Try the super popular Milk & Madu (they have a kiddies playground),  Pels, Milu by Nook, Butterman, Hungry Bird and the popular BAKED. You might also like to head to the  Tamora Gallery where there are even more cafes, day spas and boutique shops.

For a treat head to the new mega beach club Holywings in Berawa (about 10 min away by taxi)  for sunset cocktails, great music and fine dining.

Ladies, there are some upmarket day spas close by where you can get your hair and nails done and have one of those dreamy Balinese massages. Head to Rob Peetoom or Sundari Day Spa in Petitenget, Think Pink Nails in Batu Belig, MYNX on Jalan Nelayan or Spring Day Spa on Jalan Batu Bolong.
