Should the heat be overwhelming, head into the shade of the poolside bale and take a little time out.

There is a true sense of Balinese décor throughout the open-air living spaces; a carefully chosen selection of ornaments, artifacts and wall art liven the senses in creating a homely feel. A large L-shaped sofa provides the perfect spot for guests to gather and relax, while the kitchen has plenty of modern appliances. Villa Anjali Green is positioned in the highly sought-after Jalan Petitenget area, home to some of the island’s best restaurants, Sarong, Metis, La Lucciola and The Forge Pub, to name a few.

Beach Clubs. Some great beach clubs are nearby, like  Ku De Ta & Potato Head. Make sure you come here for sunset cocktails and a few cold Bintangs to watch the best sunset in Bali. Everyone comes here, and the vibe is amazing. Other beach clubs worth visiting are Cafe Del Mar and the new mega beach club Atlas Beach Fest in Berawa.

Travelling with kids? If you want to take the kids out for a meal, many dining options serve great meals at reasonable prices. Some of the best include Sisterfields, Holy Crab, Ling Lings, Naughty Nuris for ribs and BossMan or Grill’d for burgers. They’ll also enjoy a fun day at Waterbom Bali in Kuta with waterslides or the Finns Recreation Club with ten-pin bowling, tennis, waterslides and an indoor trampoline centre.

Cafes & restaurants. There are loads of amazing cafes nearby where you can get your daily coffee fix and take the kids for a bite to eat. Make sure you go to the super-popular Sea Circus, Coffee Cartel, Revolver, Ingka and Kim Soo. For the vegans, head to Kynd, and for the best croissants, head to Monsieur Spoon or BAKED.

Day Spas. Ladies, there are some upmarket day spas around Seminyak where you can get your hair and nails done and have a fabulous Balinese massage. Go to the stylish Sundari Day Spa or Rob Peetoom in Petitenget, The Shampoo Lounge or Jari Menari. JI-VI is opposite Seminyak Village on Jalan Cendana and the popular Spring Day Spa.

Fancy Partying?  Start the night at The Champagne Bar, Nirvana Sports Bar, The Goat or The Forge on Eat Street. Then it’s off to Motel Mexicola for tacos and tequila. Continue the party at La Favela or Shi Shi, where you can dance till dawn.

Sightseeing.  From the villa, you can easily explore other parts of the island. Ensure you visit Tanah Lot Temple (for sunset photos), Ubud’s famous Monkey Forest Temple,  Uluwatu Temple, Kuta Beach and Canggu’s popular Batu Bolong area.
