Villa Jewel is a 5-bedroom Canggu villa holiday rental & is a rare gem located in the beautiful village of Cepaka and sits along the banks of the lovely Pennet River close to the main area of Canggu. The villa is perfect for a large group or family who wants to experience Bali in the most beautiful natural settings. With a dramatic backdrop of the tropical rain forest, the villa is a private, tranquil plus; it’s only 7.5 km to Tanah Lot Temple, 8 km to Berawa Beach & 10 km to Eat Street.
It is where you come to relax, unwind and enjoy the true spirit of holiday villa accommodation in Bali.
Outdoor and Pool Area
Tall trees, lush lawns, beautiful vegetation and lots of space characterize Villa Jewel. The setting is quite traditional, with the buildings having wooden beams and thatched roofing. The villa boasts two pools; the main pool and a plunge pool right in front of the master bedroom. A traditional bale is in the corner of the garden, right beside the river. In it are rattan chairs where guests can sit and enjoy drinks while admiring the gently flowing river surrounded by dense vegetation.
The Living Areas
Villa Jewel has several living areas, with the main one on the ground floor of the two-storey building. It is very traditional, with high ceilings, beautiful wooden furniture, lovely pieces of Balinese art and very comfortable white sofas. A pavilion beside the pool is another living area with rattan sofas and a wooden dining set. This is great for outdoor relaxation and a wonderful dining experience.

The villa boasts 5 gorgeous bedrooms, four of them having a king bed and one with a twin bed. Each bedroom is perfectly furnished with lovely paintings, beautiful furniture and stunning views of the environment. The bathrooms are equally beautiful and luxurious, with some boasting gorgeous outdoor tubs and showers.

Villa Jewel is built for guests looking for tranquillity and serenity in a natural environment. Guests are close to the river and can easily access the nearby area of Canggu (Batu Bolong & Batu Mejan), where they will find the best restaurants, shops, cafes, bars, health food shops and surfing beaches.
Cafes & restaurants. If you love cafe culture, you are in luck, as Canggu has some great cafes and restaurants where you can take the family for a bite to eat. Make sure you go to Deus ex Machina, The Common, Milk and Madu (family-friendly), Shady Shack (great for vegans) and the popular Crate Cafe.
Travelling with kids? Take them to the Finns Recreation Club in Berawa, where there are water slides, ten-pin bowling and a huge indoor trampoline centre called Bounce. For a cultural experience, a day trip to Tanah Lot Temple or Ubud’s famous Monkey Forest Temple is a fun day out for the family. They might even like a surf lesson at Old Man’s beach, where you can hire boards and instructors by the hour. For dinner, take them to the newly built Tamora Gallery, where cafes and a play area keep them occupied. There are also burgers at BB52 or Pit Stop.
Beach Clubs. For some sunset drinks and a great vibe, head to The Lawn at the end of Jalan Batu Bolong for chilled music, great food, delish cocktails and sensational beach views. Other beach clubs worth visiting include La Brisa at Echo Beach and Cafe Del Mar in Batu Belig. There is also the iconic KU DE TA and Potato Head in Seminyak.
Day Spas. Ladies will be pleased to know that there are some upmarket day spas in Canggu where you can get your hair and nails done and have one of those dreamy Balinese massages. For the best treatments, head to AMO, Therapy Day Spa, Goldust Beauty Lounge and the stylish Spring Day Spa along Jalan Batu Bolong.
Shopping. Follow this up with some shopping in Seminyak’s chic Oberoi area, where there are art galleries, homewares & jewellery shops. Canggu is also a shopping mecca with many boutiques, art markets and local vendors selling Balinese souvenirs.

Wonderful time with 2 families and we will be back here again for sure - this was the perfect villa as we really wanted to be far from the traffic and noise of Seminyak yet close enough to the beach and restaurants of Canggu - Villa Jewel ticks all the right boxes for the best family holiday. One of the best villas in the Canggu/Tabanan area. Far from the crowds & very peaceful. Lots of room and a fabulous ambience. Well worth every cent. We rented some scooters, so getting to central Canggu was easy.

Hidden Gem in old-school Bali
I was pleasantly surprised by almost all aspects of my stay here at Villa Jewel.
The well-established villa overlooks a stunning jungle and river below. The pool areas, open-air yoga pavilion, dining, and lounge are fabulous to enjoy.
The private gardens are among the best I have seen and tended with great love. The rooms are simple and clean, and mine even had an additional outdoor bath and shower - again - overlooking the river, which was just gorgeous.
I will say that it was evident that the owners need to invest in updating some aspects of the villa, such as the new traditional Balinese thatch on most of the roof.
I want to stress that the Villa was very clean. The staff seemed exceptionally diligent in the upkeep of the rooms and grounds, With unobtrusive and quiet working.
About the remote location, it suited me well. The manager accompanied me to a local market for food supplies, and the attentive and gentle staff prepared all my meals.
Nothing was too much of a bother, including a lesson in making Balinese offerings. I will conclude that this Villa and its professional and sincere staff exceeded my expectations considerably.
If I could return to Bali, I would stay here again. If you want a quiet, relaxing stay in a small village, this is the place for you.
