La Brisa Beach Club Sunday Markets at Echo Beach, Canggu
Right on the beach at Echo Beach in Canggu is the very popular La Brisa Beach Club and here you will find local vendors selling their wares. A great atmosphere and vibe.
Old Man’s – Weekend Market
Bangkok is renowned for its amazing selection of flee, come hipster styled markets and Bali is quickly catching up as a destination offering a myriad of quirky markets to find a bargain!
Old Man’s, just meters from the sand of Batu Bolong Beach in Canggu, is an open-air bar with an expansive lawn area. Here, on any given weekend, you can leisurely stroll through a selection of some 150 individual traders, stalls.
A party style atmosphere will be experienced here, with resident DJ’s, plenty of icy cold drinks on hand and lots of fun and games to keep the kids amused; it’s a real family-oriented experience at Old Man’s weekend markets.
There are traders selling low, medium and high-grade products, of every description. Maybe a new sterling silver bracelet or necklace will catch your eye or a new bikini, with matching sarongs. For the health-conscious shopper, there are a plethora of Organic food stalls.
Note that the market is generally held once a month, so every time you go, there is always something new and interesting, to catch you’re fancy. They have a FaceBook page that will provide you with plenty of information including the dates the market is held on each month.

Canggu Makers Market – Berawa
Grab a cocktail, take in the live music & dine as you shop until you drop!
The Canggu Makers Market has one very alluring attraction; the Berawa Kitchen. Generally held every Saturday, in the afternoons from 1.00 pm – 9.00 pm, so make sure you go there with an empty stomach. The many food stalls also referred to as the Berawa Kitchen, offer a delicious array of interesting dishes to keep you fuelled up, as you explore the mini-city of stalls.
Many stalls have a vibrant selection of Hipster inspired goodies, all things handcrafted, unique and quirky, are ready to be snapped up by those looking for a market bargain.
Do you know the beaded styled necklaces and bracelets, often worn by Buddha’s? These are certainly the ‘in peace’ of decorative Hipster essentials, there are plenty to choose from here; handcrafted from a selection of natural stone and wooden materials.
At 7.00 pm the market really ramps up with hip, live tunes making it a great venue to socialize with like-minded Hipsters.

Sanur Sunday Market
The Sanur Sunday Market is held in the sprawling gardens of the Mercure hotel and the beachfront walking path which runs for several kilometres along the Sanur foreshore; a very pleasant and easily accessible location.
At one side of the garden, is an independently run café, where you can order the famous Luwak coffee among all of your other favourite, traditional caffeine fixes. The café also makes some delectable cakes that are hard to resist; the gooey cheesecake is a very popular choice among the regular market attendees, held on the last Sunday of every month.
You can even have some pampering time in between exploring the trader’s stalls, with gel manicure treatments starting from as little as $15Aud.
The market has a chic vibe to it with a selection of high quality and unique items to be picked up, at bargain prices. You can find a great selection of trendy homewares, some cutting edge, designer clothing; an array of quality handcrafted jewellery, organic produce and much more tastefully spread out in this beautifully manicured garden.
And the kids will be thrilled if you buy them a handcrafted teepee that can easily fit in a child’s bedroom or somewhere in the garden back home.

Pasaran Market – A Bi-annual event
Referred to as Pasar Pasaran; Pasar meaning market in Indonesian Bahasa language is a unique event that only takes place two times per year. You could almost describe it as more of a ‘Hipster Festival’, as opposed to a traditional market; akin to something you might find in a place such as Byron Bay, in the northern NSW coastal town.
It’s a celebration of homegrown Balinese culture, arts, local food delicacies, hip, in vogue hipster fashions, a fabulous selection of local performing musicians and interesting items from all over Indonesia.
There is a significant array of items on display that are of recycled materials, including clothing, handicrafts and quirky accessories of all descriptions.
It’s a melting pot of everything Indonesian with vendors making the journey to this special event from all corners of this incredibly diverse culture. It gives tourists and locals an insight into many of the different ethnic groups that make up Indonesia which consists of some 30,000 plus individual islands.
There is also a small showroom that is open daily, with a display of some of the items you will find at this bi-annual event.

Kumbasari Market
If you’re looking for a few trendy Rattan bags to take home for yourself, friends and family, then this market has a fantastic selection to choose from.
It’s everything rattan at Kumbasari Market and walking around town back home, with a beautifully handwoven rattan bag, you will no doubt be the envy of all your friends and family.
You will also find a great selection of handcrafted wicker bags, these handmade items, suit every occasion and will match perfectly with almost any of your current fashion accessories and latest clothing trends.
You may find similar items around other parts of the popular tourist areas on sale with local vendors, but what you will find at Kumbasari Market are exceptionally well priced. Beyond the rattan, bags look forward to a great selection of bamboo and pom-pom baskets of all shapes, colours and designs. A broad-rimmed summery hat purchase will certainly have you looking the goods amid the tropical Bali scene.
Keep an eye out for local fabrics as well, normally used in making sarongs, kebayas and the like. And there is also a good selection of beach-inspired homewares that will make perfect gifts for those envious friends back home.

Samadi Markets in Canggu
When most people think of Samadi in Canggu they’ll say it’s a yoga retreat and studio. But did you know that every Sunday they have a local market where vendors sell food, jewellery, freshly made food, loaves of bread, jams, veggies and a whole host of other tasty dishes? Samadi also has its own vegan cafe where you can chill out with your mates. the family and watch all the other tourists, locals, hipsters with the must-have man buns and ex-pats walk around. A very casual vibe and is about a 15-minute walk from Echo Beach. Which makes it a great place to come and have some lunch after a mornings swim/surf.
If you happen to be staying in a Villa in Canggu with the kids nearby Samadi markets are a great place to stock up on all your fresh fruit, veggies, cereals, snacks for the kids etc.

Love Anchor Bazaar
In the heart of Canggu on Jalan Batu Bolong; Love Anchor Bazaar is well worth a visit! If you make your way to Jalan Batu Bolong in Canggu, you will find the very popular Love Anchor bazaar.
