If you want to do some serious shopping on your Bali holiday, then the Discovery Shopping Mall in Kuta is a great place to go.

You can drop the kids off at the Waterbom Bali ( water theme park) opposite while you go and buy clothes, souvenirs, jewellery and perhaps a few souvenirs. Although Kuta is jam-packed with places to buy everything from your must-have Bintang t-shirt to sandals, surfwear and jewellery, The Discovery Shopping Mall packs them all together in one place nicely. It’s air-conditioned, so you can escape the midday sun and shop comfortably. There is even a money changer there if you have currency and want to convert it into an Indonesian Rupiah. A good tip to note is that there are about 10 ATMs opposite the Mall, so bring your cash card to get money.

If you want to bring the kids along, there’s a Burger King, Chatime and Dairy Queen to keep them happy. You will need a couple of hours t to browse all the little stalls and wander around all the shops.

A few of them include 69 Slam, Bellagio, Electronic City, Nike and Giordana, to name a few. The Discovery Shopping Mall is one of the largest shopping centres in Kuta, and if you’re staying in Seminyak, it will take about 15-20 minutes by taxi, and if you’re in one of our fabulous Canggu villa rentals, it’s about a 30 min taxi ride depending on the time of day and traffic conditions. After shopping, a good idea is to head to Kuta Beach to watch the sunset over a few cold Bintang at the many cafes on the beach. It’s a fun day out for the family.
