The villa’s 6 x 3-metre private pool is surrounded by a beautiful hardwood deck with the choice of chilling out in a poolside beanbag or one of the sun recliners under the shade of a traditional parasol umbrella. A high fence will give you all the privacy you need, flanked by a lush tropical garden bed and guests can move easily in and out of the open-air living spaces from the pool.

The villa features an open-plan design with the idea of open-air tropical living to complement the experience for guests to enjoy. Beach-inspired whitewashed timbers are a feature of the spacious living areas, a well-sized, 4-seater dining table allows you to take in the garden views and the compact, gourmet kitchen will service all your catering needs. There’s an L-shaped lounge facing the pool where you can chill out with a book or just watch the kids enjoying themselves in the pool.

The two bedrooms offer very comfortable sleeping quarters for 4 guests, with large doors opening to the pool area. Fully air-conditioned you have the luxury of flat-screen TVs with a selection of international cable channels and a DVD player. Jalan Petitenget is where you will find most of the high-end restaurants, such as Biku, Sarong, Metis and Merah Putih, to name just a few of the fine dining options.

Take the kids to Cafe Del Mar, a great day club with a huge pool with hip lounge music and every drink under the sun ( for the adults). Or perhaps to Seminyak beach for a surf lesson (you can hire boards & instructors there too). For a real treat, take them to the Waterbom Park in Kuta for a fun day out with the family. Closer by is the Finns Recreation Club in Berawa, with waterslides, ten-pin bowling, tennis and a massive indoor trampoline centre called Bounce.

For some authentic Indonesian cuisine, you will enjoy Warung Europa with crispy duck, which is a specialty. Just near Sarong is Warung Sulawesi, where you can test your ability to eat some mouthwatering Balinese spicy dishes. Something mid-ranged would be Biku, Sea Circus or Kim Soo restaurants, which are also family-friendly. There’s also the popular Bottega, where you can eat handmade pasta or perhaps Ling Lings, which has an extensive family-friendly menu.

There are lots of fantastic cafes nearby where you can also take the kids for a bite to eat. Head to the super-popular Pison, Little Ingka, Monsieur Spoon ( for the best pastries) & even Starbucks. If you fancy stocking up on your wine, Vin + is nearby and has a massive selection, and if you need to stock up on your villa supplies (including snacks for the kids), there is a Pepito Supermarket close by.

For a treat, get a taxi to the new beach club Atlas Beach Fest (about 15 min away in Berawa) or the new Holywings in Berawa to watch the most amazing sunset in Bali while you sip on a few cocktails or cold Bintang. Afterwards, spoil yourselves and have dinner here. You will be impressed!

Ladies, note that there are lots of upmarket day spas, all within 5 min of the villa, where you can get your hair and nails done. Definitely go to The Blow Bar, Spring Day Spa or Rob Peetoom in Petitenget for the best treatments in Bali. Follow this up with an afternoon browsing the art galleries, homewares and jewellery stores in the chic Oberoi area. For more shopping options, Legian is close by, where you can bargain with locals for souvenirs.
