Villa Kayu Merah is a charming 3-bedroom Uluwatu holiday rental near some of Bali’s best beaches like Padang Padang, Uluwatu, Dreamlands and Bingin. The style of Villa Kayu Merah is completely tropical, featuring thatched Bali-style rooftops, natural interiors and a sun-splashed lagoon-like swimming pool surrounded by lush tropical gardens. A wonderful family villa – take the kids, come with your friends and have the best Bali holiday.
The main bedroom features a beautiful Bali-style roof with sliding doors that open directly to the pool for a quick early morning dip. It has a king-sized bed, a spacious dressing room, and a semi-automated bathroom with an oversized rain shower and twin washbasins – great for couples. The other 2 bedrooms are both in private separate bungalows. One bedroom has a generous king-sized bed, and the other has a twin bed, which is great for kids sharing a room. Both rooms have AC, flat-screen TVs and spacious dressing rooms. The en-suite bathrooms have decadent stone-carved bathtubs, open-air rain showers, twin washbasins and toilets.
Villa Kaya Merah features a large, lush tropical garden with lots of space for the kids to play or catch up on your holiday reading. The big swimming pool gets lots of sun, and ample day beds allow you to chill out and enjoy the warm Bali vibes while topping up your tan.
The spacious living area is the perfect place for everyone to relax and enjoy the open-plan feel, with a tasteful wooden interior design and many traditional artefacts that add to the Balinese ambience. For family dinners and group lunches, there’s a large dining table that can comfortably seat up to 8 people. And the L-shaped lounge in the corner is where you can all sit and chill out. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with top-quality crockery, cutlery, towels and linens, and there is an island bar with chairs to sit and enjoy your coffee in the morning before heading out and exploring the Uluwatu area.
Lucky guests at Villa Kayu Merah won’t have to lift a finger as friendly, professional, English-speaking staff will clean all bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas, replace all wet towels and change bed linen. A villa manager can arrange tours, drivers, dinner reservations, and kids’ tours.
Villa Kayu Merah is close to the Uluwatu temple, Jimbaran, where you can eat the island’s best seafood and many beautiful famous beaches with sun-drenched blue waters and world-class surf spots.
Travelling with kids? Take them to Padang Padang Beach for a surf lesson where you can hire boards and instructors by the hour. Or the famous Kecak Dance at sunset at Uluwatu Temple for a treat. For dinner, there’s fabulous fresh seafood at Jimbaran Beach, where you can dine under the stars, The Cashew Tress or Kelly’s Warung at Bingin for relaxed dining, or burgers at Suka Espresso.
Cafes and restaurants. The whole of the Bukit and Uluwatu area is packed with wonderful cafes and restaurants where you can also take the kids for a bite to eat. Most of them have a relaxed, casual vibe and are budget-friendly. Head to Alchemy in Bingin (great for vegans), Ulu Garden, The Loft, Drifter Surf, and Lands End Cafe.
Beach Clubs. Uluwatu is catching up to Seminyak and Canggu and is now a destination for those who enjoy the beach club scene. Make sure you go to The Rock Bar, El Kabron, Sundays Beach Club, Savaya, the famous Single Fin, and Ulu Cliff House for sunset cocktails, great music and fine dining.

In most cases, check-in time for Villa Kayu Merah is 3 pm, and check-out time is noon. However, we will try our hardest to accommodate every guest’s different schedules and appreciate that aeroplane departure times from Bali can be late at night. Generally, a late checkout fee of 50% of the day rate will apply if the Villa is not pre-booked for another guest on your departure day, and you can stay at the Villa till 6 pm. You can also store your luggage at the Villa for the afternoon and return to meet your driver, who will take you to Bali airport at a specified time.
