Sanur

Sanur is considered a more quieter and laid back area of Bali where families and European travellers come to base themselves near the beach as well as within easy reach of Ubud and the Bukit areas. Unlike other parts of Bali, Sanur has more of a village and community feel where there is less traffic, noise, congestion and the getting around it a lot easier. Sanur is on the East Coast of Bali about 30 minutes from the airport and about 45 minutes from Seminyak. Sanur is well known for it's beach, restaurants and cafe scene as well as being the hub for further island exploration to areas like Gianyar, Ubud and the very famous surf areas of Ketewel and Keramas. Tie really seems to stand still here in Sanur and you will certainly appreciate being here on holiday as you kick back in your villa and let the pressures of the world pass you by. Having said that, there are still many things to see and do in Sanur and the following videos should help you discover more about this hidden gem on the East coast. Kuta

Kuta in the south of Bali is the original area where tourists cmae to in the 1970's. It's the birthplace of Bali tourism and owes it's popularity due to the prisitne sandy beach, plethora of restaurants, cafes, bars and cheap day spas and is home to loads of budget style and up market hotes that draw tourists from all over the world. It's got an eclectic vibe ranging from local vendors selling cheap souvenirs through to bars that play Aussie rules TV and rugby league the whole day. It's where tourists come for the day to go shopping, browse the alley ways looking for a bargain and perhaps grab a Bali massage for less than $10 per hour. The streets are crowded with scooters, trucks, cars, it's noisy, there's local vendors enticing you into their shops and it's all part of the fun. At night Kuta really comes alive as tourists make their way to restaurants and bars and settle in for the night. Kuta is a shopping, dining and entertainment mecca and you can see from the videos why it's such a popular place.
