Outdoor & Pool Areas

The 15-metre lap pool stretches out from one of the bedroom suites along the side of the main living area toward the beautiful vistas of the adjacent rice terrace. There is a timber pool deck with stylish oversized recliners where you can enjoy the sun as you enjoy the scents emanating from the frangipanis flanking the pool. The garden is beautifully manicured with lush lawns, abundant tropical palms, plants, and mature trees.

Living Areas

The open plan and open-air living areas are ideal for family and friends to spend quality time together while enjoying the relaxing views around the villa. A sunken lounge features a spacious built-in sofa where you can look to the rice terraces, a second sitting is right by the pool and a lovely timber dining table with comfortable chairs is set for 8 guests. The kitchen is packed with modern appliances where. You are welcome to roll up your sleeves and do your cooking.

3 Bedrooms

The three fully air-conditioned bedroom suites, one located right at the end of the infinity pool, so you can dive straight in for an early morning wake-up. The other two suites are situated at the rear of the villa, facing the rice terraces, with one on the ground level and the second on the upper level with great views. The comfortable and top-quality bedding features mosquito netting, and the en-suite bathrooms are gorgeous, with lovely stand-alone soaking tubs and rain showers.

Around Villa Banteng Bawah, Umalas

Umalas is lovely and quiet, but it’s only a short drive to central Seminyak and Berawa Beach. Further north, guests can easily access Canggu and more popular beaches, including Echo, Old Man’s and Berawa Beach.

Umalas has a great selection of cafes, small restaurants and convenience stores close to the villa. Make sure you go to Bucu (lovely Indonesian food in a peaceful setting), Monsieur Spoon (for the best croissants in Umalas), Kembali (a great place to take the kids for a meal) & the very popular Nook (where you can eat among the rice fields).

Cafes & restaurants. If you plan on heading to Berawa, there are many cafes and restaurants where you can grab a meal or sit and have a coffee. Must try are Pels Supershop, Hungry Bird, Milu by Nook and the famous Milk & Madu. Locally, there’s the popular Moodest Cafe and 7 AM Bakers Club. In Seminyak there  is Siterfirlds. Kim Soo, Sea Circus and Cornerhouse.

Travelling with kids? Take them to the Finns Recreation Club, which offers waterslides, ten-pin bowling and a massive indoor trampoline centre. They’ll also like a surf lesson at Old Mans Beach, where you can hire boards and instructors by the hour, or the skate park at Amplitude. For dinner, head to Berawa, where there’s authentic Indonesian food at Mades Warung or pizza at Da Romeo.

Gyms. You are close to some of the best gyms in Canggu, where you can continue your daily workout. These include Bulls Gym, Wunderlust, SOMA and Bali MMA.

Day Spas. Ladies, here are many day spas in Seminyak or Canggu where you can get your hair and nails done and have a dreamy Balinese massage. For the best treatments, head to Rob Peetoom or Sundari in Petitengeht, JAMU in Berawa, or  Think Pink Nails in Batu Belig.

Shopping. Seminyak’s Jalan Kayu Aya or Eat Street, or Canggu’s Jalan Batu Bolong has many hopping options where you can buy homewares, jewellery, artwork, clothes and souvenirs. You might also like to go to Legian or Kuta, where there are large shopping centres like Lippo or Discovery Shopping Mall.
