Villa Omah Padi is a gorgeous 5-bedroom holiday villa rental in Ubud. A true architectural masterpiece with the use of natural timbers such as bamboo and alang-alang thatched roofs that set the scene for total peace and tranquillity in the hills of the cultural heart of Bali, Ubud. The villa sleeps 10 guests and has a fabulous infinity-edged pool as well as a wading pool for the little ones. Also outdoors, there is a great BBQ facility, rice-terraced surrounds, full-time staff, and only a 15-minute drive to the markets and galleries of Ubud. What an amazing find!!

Outdoor & Pool Areas

It’s mother nature at its finest when you wander through the lush tropical gardens of Villa Omah Padi. The edge of the free-form infinity pool, just slightly raised above perfectly manicured lawns offers views of the immediate rice fields sloping down into a green valley. But an even better vantage point might be from one of the sunbeds on the elevated pool deck and the sense of calm is materialized by a series of eloquent koi fish ponds with trickling water fountains winding their way through the garden.

The in-house chef will prepare BBQ lunches and dinners at a moment’s notice as well as purchase all the ingredients for you.

Living Areas

The masterful work of the famed local architect, Ketut Arthana is evident amid the open-air living and accommodation pavilions. Double height ceilings reveal incredible workmanship of exposed bamboo and thatched ceilings with alang-alang outer layers. But don’t worry the villa is also very modern in terms of its amenities and facilities. A burly, rustic timber dining table with bench seats, to accommodate all guests in one sitting is situated in front of the kitchen packed with modern appliances and a convenient breakfast bar.

All bedroom suites feature four-poster beds draped in sheer white netting, the Master suite boasts a king-sized bed while the 4 guest suites offer premium queen-sized beds. Tucked away from the living area for additional privacy, you have great views of the garden, a flat-screen TV for entertainment and a huge soaking tub for long and enjoyable relaxation time. The guest en-suites boast double-sized rain showers with two below the Master suite, ideal for a family. The stand-alone pavilions of the two remaining guest rooms provide even more privacy with private terraces overlooking the garden.

You will be well looked after by the friendly staff with daily breakfasts and villa cleaning, services of a private chef and should you require transport or any child care needs it will all be taken care of.

Villa Omah Padi is all about peace and relaxation, the sounds of gentle breezes and the gardens soothing water features are all that you will hear. It gives guests the opportunity for leisurely strolls to see how the Balinese go about everyday life, the distant tingle from a ceremonial bell and the locals harvesting rice fields.

The Ubud centre is a short drive away where you can barter with the locals over souvenirs and lovely batik tapestry. There are several art galleries along the way, well worth a visit, and our favourite restaurant, Naughty Nuri’s. If you can’t live without your coffee, you’ll be glad to know that Ubud has loads of amazing cafes where you can get your daily coffee fix and a bite to eat. Head to the popular Milk & Madu, Starbucks or Betelnut. For the ladies, there are also some upmarket day spas nearby where you can get your hair and nails done plus have an amazing Balinese massage.

If you’re coming to Ubud with the kids and want to keep them entertained, you can easily take them white water rafting or perhaps a day walking along the Campuhan Ridge to see ricefields & local Balinese farmers or for that perfect photo, the best place to be is the Tegalalang Rice Terrace. For a treat, the Monkey Forest Temple should be on your Ubud bucket list, which is also very close by.

If you want to do some shopping, you’ll be glad to know that Ubud has lots of shopping options where you can buy clothes, homewares, jewellery, artwork and souvenirs. Make your way to Jalan Monkey Forest and go from there. You will need at least a day for this as there are lots of shops. For your Balinese souvenir purchases, make sure you go to The Ubud Markets ( 3.4 km away ).

If you want to keep up your yoga practice while on holiday, then the only place to go is the famous and super-popular Yoga Barn, which has daily classes catering for all levels. Other great yoga studios worth visiting are Radiantly Alive, Ubud Yoga House & Taksu Yoga.
