One of the most popular cafes in Canggu is most definitely Shady Shack. Always busy with good people looking for good vibes, amazing food and excellent coffee… even those not into healthy food will love this place and not even notice that everything on the menu is vegetarian. How come? Well, Shady Shack offers a great variety of food and absolutely everything is delicious. What’s even better, food comes in all colours of the rainbow. The rating on TripAdvisor says it all – when you are in Canggu, you just have to try this place! Shady Shack has a lovely garden setting with outdoor tables and sitting spots in the shade of tropical trees. This Canggu cafe is not really hidden anymore but it sure is a gem!
Vegetarian & Vegan cuisine
What shady shack does the best like no other are bowls! Salad bowls, protein bowls, nori bowls and of course the delicious smoothie bowls… generous in size, colourful, healthy, organic, the goodness just doesn’t stop. Homebaked sourdough bread, wraps, vegan cheeseburgers to die for. Yum! Another thing to keep coming back for is their cakes and pies. Coffee or tea time, anyone? Can’t go without a slice of raw choc mint or vegan caramel! Or how about lemon or banoffee cheesecake or perhaps a chocolate tart? Whatever you fancy, Shady Shack has it.

Did we mention all the food is organic, too? Yep, Shady Shack works with local suppliers and everything is super fresh from the land, grown with love without the use of pesticides. Gotta love it!

It’s about a 5-minute scooter ride to Echo beach ( Jl. Tanah Barak No.57, Canggu ) and a 2 min ride to the super popular Jalan Batu Bolong area which puts Shady Shack smack bang in central Canggu. It’s off the main road or Jalan as your driving to Echo beach – so you have to keep your eye out for it as there’s no signage. Just as anyone and they’ll definitely be able to point you in the right direction!
