Outdoor & Pool Area

One of the best things about Villa Amala is that once you’re through the villa’s front gate, it’s private and peaceful. A perfectly laid out tropical garden surrounds the perimeter walls and sparkling pool; at one side, a timber decking houses some sun loungers with a trendy market umbrella to keep you shaded. At one end of the pool, a waterfall is decorated with a Buddha statue, giving an element of Zen. Head upstairs and relax on the rattan sofa on the sunset deck for a few cocktails as the ocean breezes keep you cool.

The master suite has a lovely open-air tropical garden, a large built-in soaking tub, and a monsoon shower. Fully air-conditioned with a king-size bed, cable TV, safety box, dressing gowns and slippers, the room is ready for you to relax and enjoy. Two guest suites provide double and twin bed configurations and a shared bathroom and are air-conditioned.

Living Areas

The open-plan living area combines a dining area, lounge area and modern kitchen, open to the pool and garden. Large bi-folding doors can be opened next to the timber dining table so you can converse with friends and family out by the pool as you enjoy a lunchtime snack. There is a large L-shaped sofa and a big flat-screen TV for everyone to enjoy some sport or movie. The kitchen has plenty of appliances should you wish to do a little bit of your cooking.

Staff & Services

A professional holiday group manages the Residence Villa Estate, so the staff is highly trained with plenty of hospitality experience. Your villa manager is only a phone call away, and you will be served by a team of butlers, chefs and housekeeping who will clean daily. Feel free to ask for assistance in booking transportation or the services of a babysitter. The in-house chef will be more than happy to prepare a special lunch or dinner for you upon request.

Around Villa Amala, Seminyak (5-minute easy stroll to Eat Street & Sisterfields Cafe)

Located just one block back from the excitement of Jalan Oberoi, “Eat Street”, guests can take a stroll to be within the most happening and exciting part of Seminyak. If you love your coffee, you will love staying at Amala, as there are many fabulous cafes near the villa. Make sure you go to the super-popular Revolver, Sisterfields (one of the most popular cafes/restaurants in Bali), Monsieur Spoon ( or yummy pastries & croissants), Kim Soo, Sea Circus and Starbucks.

Day Spas & Shopping. There are many upmarket day spas for the ladies, all within walking distance, where you can get your hair and nails done and have one of those fabulous Balinese massages. Head to The Shampoo Lounge or Glo at the top of Eat Street or Spring Days Spa (at Seminyak Village), and in Petitenget, there’s Sundari Day Spa or the popular Rob Peetoom. Follow this up with an afternoon browsing the art galleries, boutiques, jewellery and homewares stores in the chic Oberoi area.  For more shopping options, hop into a Blue Bird taxi and make your way to Legian, where you can bargain with locals for souvenirs or the Kartika Plaza area in Kuta, where there are large shopping centres like Lippo & Discovery Shopping or Bali Galleria.

Fancy Partying? If you want to party, start the evening at The Champagne Bar Or The Goat on Eat Street for a few pre-dinner drinks, and then it’s off to Motel Mexicola for tequila, tacos and Bintangs. Continue the party at La Favela or Shi Shi, where you can dance till dawn or have a nightcap at Vin+ before returning to the villa.

Beach Clubs. Make sure you also go to the two most popular beach clubs in Seminyak, Ku De Ta and Potato Head Beach Clubs, for sunset cocktails, chilled music and dinner. The atmosphere here is amazing, and the food is world-class. Your villa manager will arrange transport to take you there (it’s only a 5-minute drive). Even better, why not rent your private cabana with your friends for the day at the new mega beach club Atlas Beach Fest in Berawa or the popular Finns, which is only 15 minutes away by taxi?

Travelling with kids?  Take them to Seminyak Beach for a swim or surf lesson (you can hire boards & instructors by the hour) or to The Waterbom Bali in Kuta for a fun day out with the whole family on the massive waterslides. Culturally, take them to the popular Monkey Forest Temple in Ubud or for sunset photos at Tanah Lot Temple. There are burgers at Grill’d, Naughty Nuris or BossMan for dinner and dessert at Gusto Gelato in Kerobokan. For the kiddies, there are treats at Candylicious at Seminyak Village.

Sightseeing.  From the villa, you can easily explore other parts of the island. Make sure you visit Jimbaran Bay for a seafood dinner on the beach, Tanah Lot Temple (for sunset photos), Ubud’s famous Monkey Forest Temple,  Uluwatu Temple, Kuta Beach for sunset drinks and Canggu’s great cafes.
