Seminyak is famous all over the world for it’s party scene and it’s fabulous Beach Clubs which are probably rated one of the best in the world. Make sure you pop in and see what the fuss and hype is about. Most people will have hear of these names as they are pretty famous but if your a newbie to Seminyak and coming here for your first time, it’s really worth a visit. Also, if your coming with kids, these are also family friendly clubs during the day and they children will have a fantastic time.
Ku De Ta
We had to start with Bali’s most iconic of all beach clubs, situated at the end of Eat Street (Jalan Oberoi), Ku De Ta is located in the most sophisticated part of Seminyak. Open from 8am for relaxed breakfasts, an all day menu, ala carte lunch or a fine dining experience in the evening.
The two storey building is set around a large central lawn and an infinity pool waits right by the beach with oversized reclining daybeds and its famous maroon parasols. Popular for sunsets, choose from an extensive list of home grown cocktails, maybe a coconut strawberry daiquiri or a KDT mojito will hit the spot. The a la carte dining experience is an opulent affair with sturia premium caviar and Iberian cured meats just some of the items on the menu. Most of the villas we have for rent on this website are all within walking distance to KDT so make sure it’s on your bucket list – at least for a sunset drink.
Potato Head Beach Club has quickly gained popularity as one of the most visited beach clubs in Seminyak. A versatile venue that caters for families and groups of friends, the club features a great pool with plenty of sun loungers, day beds and a funky pool bar. What better place to be than at the pool bar sipping on Kookaburra, one of the clubs famous cocktails. If you have your heart set on a day bed, you will need to make a booking, make sure your on time or you will lose it.
At one side of the lawn is a shaded open-air restaurant area where you can sit and take views of the pool and ocean while you enjoy a snack from the daytime grazing menu. Head upstairs and enjoy authentic Indonesian fare at Kaum, the restaurant also features a craft beer brewery. Again, we have tons of luxuries villas all really close to this hip and happening club so please drop in for a visit – it’s worth the effort!
Don’t think that Potato Head is just for the adults, if your coming to Bali with children thy can play in the pool or on the large grass area. Lots of families come here so they can play with the other kids as well.
Cocoon Beach Club is located at the very vibrant 66 Beach on the border of Seminyak and Legian. By day, the venue provides a relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy an afternoon drink or amazing seafood lunch of fresh oysters. In the evening the club offers a fine dining candle lit experience where guests can enjoy a great selection of meats, vegetarian and gluten free options with a Mediterranean and Asian influence.
On certain days, as the sun goes down the bar area and outdoor pool transform into a vibrant party spectacle and the club is famous for its Splash pool parties held on the last Sunday of every month.
Woo Bar at the W Resort
The Woo Bar located within the W Resort, open to the public and house guests, this is a must see on you next Bali holiday. Located on the beach this venue is a great spot to watch the sunset and it attracts a young, hip crowd.
There’s an extensive tapas menu, maybe some Iberico jamon croquettes or green chili – vegetable empanadas, a thin crust Moroccan lamb pizza or a crispy soft shell crab taco will suffice.
Resident and international DJ’s play groovy house music on the WooDeck where you can enjoy signature cocktails and a little later head downstairs to the WooBase dance room where you can get your funk on.
Finns Beach Club
Finns Beach Club is located just beyond the border of Seminyak at Berawa Beach in burgeoning Canggu. This semi rural setting offers ocean front views and the fantastic use of bamboo and alang-alang thatched roofing provides an amazing tropical setting where you can chill out and soak up this fabulous vibe.
Right in front of the club is a fantastic surf break and guests can book single and double day beds set around a sparkling infinity pool with its swim up pool bar and underwater sound system. Entry is free and a double day bed accommodates up to 6 with a minimum spend of 500,000 IDR and 250,000 IDR for a single day bed.
Around lunchtime the resident DJ’s crank up the tunes as guests begin to unwind and let their hair down in anticipation of an amazing sunset.
La Laguna is on the border of Seminyak and Canggu and located to the right at the end of the very popular and trendy Batu Belig Beach. The newest of these hip seaside beach clubs, La Laguna offers a very unique beach club experience. Featuring a Mediterranean inspired theme, where guests can relax in colorful gypsy caravans throughout the extensive gardens or in the open-air bar and restaurant area overlooking the lagoon and beach.
The Mediterranean theme continues to the menu where you can choose from a tapas selection, soups, maybe some beef carpaccio or a char grilled rib eye. There’s also a great selection of mixed juices, mocktails and specialty cocktails including the La Favella Breeze and Tropical Lagoon.
Alila Beach Bar
The Alila Beach Bar is a brand new kid on the block and a beach bar well worth visiting as it’s located in the new Alila Seminyak resort. With sensational ocean views and a really hip vibe this is where the beautiful people come to chill out, enjoy a drink or two and have loads of fun. There is a full menu in case you get hungry and the extensive cocktail menu makes this a place where you can party well into the night. How cool would that be; dancing by the ocean in this fabulous place.
The newest club that’s like being on the beach without actually being on the beach. Guess what? They have added their own sand to give you the beach like experience…what fun!! There is a massive diving board which is the show piece of the club and as you would expect the menu and wine list is catered for tourists with deep pockets. Mrs Sippy puts on events and is a fun place to hang for the day. Get in early grab a sun lounge and watch all the beautiful people pass you by.
