Uluwatu is located on the gorgeous Bukit Peninsula in south Bali.
The area is also referred to as ‘The Bukit’, and it is mostly known for its paradise-like white sandy beaches and epic surf breaks.
The area is lively, hip and happening, and great fun to explore on a motorbike! There are many amazing beach clubs, charming cafes, and excellent restaurants to check out. Let’s start with the most extraordinary spa in Uluwatu. The Istana (translates to The Palace) is a luxury spa, unlike any other spa you’ll find in Bali. It’s an amazing place with out-of-this-world facilities and a magnificent clifftop setting. How about a sound sauna dome and flotation tanks? This amazing health retreat has multiple saunas and pools, a meditation hall and a cryotherapy chamber (the first and only one on the island!). You can float away in the sensory deprivation tanks or join a yoga or meditation class. There’s nothing not to love!

If you’re planning to stay in Uluwatu, you have probably already heard of the fabulous Sunday’s Beach Club located at Ungasan Clifftop Resort, but did you know they also have an amazingly luxurious spa on-site called Vela Spa? Laniakea Spa is an affordable spa in Uluwatu using our favourite brand of skincare product, Sensatia Botanicals, which you usually only find at high-end spas in Bali. It’s all-natural, raw, cruelty-free and made in Bali. The treatment rooms are designed beautifully in a minimalist and elegant style. This is the spa in Bali to get pampered from head to toe without breaking the bank! We highly recommend going for a spa package including a full body massage, a traditional “lulur” body scrub and a facial.
