Outdoor & Pool Areas

The natural stone pool is inviting with its cool, crystal-clear waters. Flanked by a rich timber pool deck that houses stylish sun lounges with thick white cushions shaded by matching white parabolas, the outdoor setting is a sun lover’s paradise. On the other side, a large timber daybed awaits you. Soaring coconut palms breach the timber decking, and manicured tropical palms and plants fill the space.

Living Areas

The living area just off the swimming pool provides a well-equipped western-style kitchenette, the staff will prepare tasty breakfasts for you, and there is a juicer and state-of-the-art coffee machine to brew a cup of Royal Sumatran in the morning. The dining table is elegant with its stylish director’s chairs, and there are two plush sofas where you can relax together while watching TV, maybe some live sport on the international cable channels. There is also high-speed Wi-Fi Internet access if you need to keep in touch with the outside world.

2 Bedrooms

Two delightful bedroom suites sleep up to 4 guests, fully air-conditioned. Both rooms feature stylish en-suite bathrooms, and the bedrooms are equipped with flat-screen LCD television and DVD players. One room features a king-size four-poster bed shrouded in white mosquito netting and an en-suite dressing area leading to the bathroom. The second bedroom has two single beds that can easily be converted into a king-size bed, a separate dressing area and an en-suite garden-view bathroom.

Villa Samuan Kalih is staffed by a highly trained team of butlers, maids, and pool and garden attendants, all overseen by the diligent villa manager. The team is there to ensure you have a truly memorable stay, whether it is arranging that in-villa traditional Balinese massage, maybe a day tour to cultural Ubud, local transport arrangements such as a scooter or taxi, or a diner booking at one of the many great restaurants nearby the villa, ask the staff, and they will be more than happy to look after everything for you.

Around Villa Kalih, Seminyak (near beach clubs, day spas and more)

Villa Kalih is a mere 5 min stroll to the famous Oberoi Street, often called Eat Street; you will be spoilt with a vast array of fabulous fine dining restaurants, boutique shopping and happening nightlife venues. However, the villa is far enough removed for guests to enjoy some peace whilst in the villa. And best of all, you can walk no more than 5 minutes and be at Seminyak Beach right in front of the iconic beach Club, Ku de ta!

Cafes & restaurants. There are some great cafes and restaurants nearby where you can grab a coffee or take the kids for a bite to eat. Make sure you try: Sea Circus, Pison, Ingka, Cornerhouse, Revolver, Bottega, BAKED and the popular Sisterfields opposite Seminyak Village.

Travelling with kids? You can go to the Waterbom Park or Finns Recreation Club, which has waterslides, trampolines and ten-pin bowling. They’ll also like a surf lesson at Double Six  Beach, where you can hire boards and instructors by the hour.  There are burgers at BossMan, Naughty Nuri’s, Grill’d, or Johnny Rockets and dessert at Gusto Gelato in Kerobokanor treats at Candylicious at Seminyak Village.

Like to party? Start the night off at The Goat, The Forge, or the Champagne Lounge on Eat Street for pre-dinner cocktails; then, it’s off to Motel Mexicla for tequila and tacos. Continue the party at Shi Shi or La Favela, where you can dance till dawn.

Day Spas. Ladies, there are some fabulous day spas nearby where you can get your hair and nails done and have one of those dreamy Balinese massages. For the best treatments, head to Rob Peetoom or Sundari Day Spa in Petitenget or  Think Pink Nails in Batu Belig or Glo and The Shampoo Lounge at the top of Eat Street.

Beach Clubs. Villa Samuan Kalih is close to some of the island’s best beach clubs, where you can have sunset cocktails while watching the most gorgeous sunsets. Close by are KU DE TA, The WooBar and Potato Head. In Batu Belig, there’s Cafe Del Mar, and in Berawa, you must go to the popular Finns or Atlas Beach Fest.

Tourist Stuff. From the villa, you can easily explore other parts of the island. Make sure you visit Tanah Lot Temple (for sunset photos), Ubud’s famous Monkey Forest Temple,  Uluwatu Temple, Kuta Beach for cold Bintangs, Jimbaran Bay for seafood dinner on the beach and Canggu.
