Villa Gu is a contemporary 5-bedroom Canggu holiday rental, part of Canggu Beachside Villas. This family-friendly luxury villa is close to the beach in Batu Belig. The estate is L-shaped, featuring the main building (double-storey) and a separate annex wrapped around the sparkling private swimming pool in a sprawling tropical garden. Villa Gu can be booked in conjunction with neighbouring Villa Vida and Villa Boa, turning the villa into a splendid beachfront wedding venue or party estate where you are an easy stroll to Batu Belig & Berawa Beach and only 800 metres to the Finns Recreation Club – what an amazing location!

Indoor/outdoor living room

Villa Gu features a gorgeous rustic interior design ruled by teak wood furniture, antiques and artifacts collected from around the archipelago. The living space is light-filled and fully air-conditioned, designed with full-length glass sliding doors opening up to the terrace and garden. Inside, there are comfy white sofas where you can relax and read a book or simply enjoy the garden views in air-conditioned comfort. The single-slab teak wood dining table seats up to 10 guests, and 3 stylish birdcages-style rattan lampshades illuminate the table. The dining area is found outside on the terrace, always adding an alfresco feel to your breakfast, lunch or in-villa dinner. Villa Gu also boasts a stylish media lounge with a high-tech cinema set and Bose sound system.

Rooftop terrace with ocean views & a fabulous private pool

The garden of Villa Gu is tranquil and blossoming, featuring manicured green grass lawns and a most inviting private swimming pool (15 x 4 meters). Comfy hand, elegant sunbeds are placed by the poolside, shaded by large white parasols, and the pool has a large shallow wading platform for toddlers and small kids to play with water under the supervision of sunbathing parents. Perfect!

On the breezy veranda, there are even more sunbeds to lounge on, and there is an outdoor lounge set as well. The rooftop terrace boasts magnificent ocean views – get the cocktails out, sit back and gaze! The upper terrace is also great for yoga and meditation sessions! The kitchen is modern and more than well-equipped.

The villa houses 3 decadent master suites and 2 guest bedrooms. The master bedrooms have large and comfy double beds (1 king-size and 2 split queen-size beds). The 2 upstairs rooms are adjoined to the large ocean-view terrace, and the downstairs master suite boasts a large soaking bathtub in a semi-open-air en-suite. All 5 bedrooms are equipped with individually controlled air-conditioning, and each room has a flat-screen TV and a private en-suite bathroom. Every room also has a safety box to store your valuable items. The bedrooms are styled elegantly with beautiful rugs, cushions and authentic Indonesian art.

Services

The villa is staffed with a dedicated villa manager, butlers, maids and security guards. A personal chef is available at additional charges, and the staff can also arrange a private driver. In the villa, you will find a comprehensive spa menu for in-villa massages, and the staff can also get yoga instructors to come over to the villa.

Superb location in Canggu (sensational location near beach, cafes and shops)

The location is superb! Just a stone’s throw from the beach in  Batu Belig ( 500 metres ), Finn’s Recreation Club and all of the hipster cafes and restaurants in Berawa – this is where you want to be when going on a holiday to Bali!

Seminyak is just a short drive away, and you can also easily get to Echo Beach with its surfing scenes and buzzing nightlife. You can easily get around here, but there are lots of Blue Bird taxis passing by that can take you anywhere you want.

Cafes. There are loads of amazing cafes near the villa where you can go for coffee, snacks and meals. Make sure you try the super popular and family-friendly Milk and Madu (with a kiddies playground),   Made’s Warung (for great Indonesian food), Milk by Nook, Pels Supershop, Folie, Nourish, Hungry Bird, Butterman and head to the Tamora Gallery on Jalan Pantai Berawa where there are even more cafes, shops and a play area for the kids.

Travelling with kids? Take them to Waterbom Bali ( Aisa’s premier water theme park in Kuta ) or to the Finns Recreation Club, which has waterslides, ten-pin bowling, and a huge indoor trampoline centre. For a fun day trip, they’ll enjoy the Monkey Forest Temple in Ubud or walk around Tanah Lot or Uluwatu Temple. For dinner, there’s the popular Watercress restaurant or ribs and burgers at Wild Hog. Seminyak has some family-friendly places for lunch or dinner, such as Sisterfields, Grill’d or BossMan Burger. For dessert, there’s the best gelato at Gusto in Kerobokan or treats at Candylicious at Seminyak Village.

Shopping. For the ladies, there are loads of amazing day spas nearby where you can get your hair and nails done, plus have one of those wonderful Balinese massages. Definitely go to Think Pink Nails, Sundari Day Spa or Rob Peetoom in Petitenget. Follow this up by browsing the art galleries, homewares & jewellery stores in the chic Oberoi area. For more shopping options, head to Legian, where you can bargain with locals for souvenirs.

Beach Clubs. For a treat, make sure you visit the new mega beach club Atlas Beach Fest for sunset cocktails, chilled music and fine dining. Rent your own private cabana for the day and enjoy the sensational service, cuisine, music and ocean views. Other beach clubs nearby worth visiting include La Brisa at Echo Beach, Old Man’s and The Lawn at the end of Jalan Batu Bolong & of course, KU DE TA & Potato Head, both in Seminyak.
