Villa 8 Royal is a 4-bedroom Seminyak villa holiday rental & is a traditional Balinese masterpiece located on a large parcel of land, measuring almost 900sq meters, with sprawling lush tropical gardens and a fantastic outdoor swimming pool. With enough accommodation for 8 adults and an extra bunk room for 2 children, it’s a fantastic family holiday villa.

Outdoor & Pool Areas

Guests will feel a sense of freedom when entering the villa’s garden. Its extensive manicured lawns, outstretched swimming pool, and towering mature tropical trees add to the somewhat ancient come royal ambience. The pool is beyond the large grassed area with four sun loungers on the paved deck. The kids will love jumping out of the pool and chasing each other around the lawn of this amazing tropical wonderland.

Living Areas

The L-shaped main pavilion looks across the lush lawn where the living areas are housed. This fan-cooled area features a classic marble floor extending to the covered verandah and edge of the lawn. The space has beautiful antique furnishings, Asian artifacts and Persian rugs. A large twin soft white sofa is in the middle of the space, while marble-topped tables hold vases of beautiful tropical flowers. There is a separate study with an antique glassed cabinet stretching the room’s length, which is great if you need to do a few hours of work here and there. A separate media room is fully air-conditioned with satellite TV/CD/DVD and a rich maroon lounge with heaps of room for all the guests to relax in unison.

4 Bedrooms

Two queen-sized bedrooms, two twin bedrooms, and a third kids’ bunk room can accommodate up to 10 guests. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated with a selection of antique timber sideboards, beautiful timber beds and side tables with Persian rugs atop polished floorboards, delivering an authentic British-India ambience. The en-suites are enormous, with marble floors, large natural timber vanities and rain showers.

Around Villa 8 Royal, Seminyak (close to Eat Street)

Jalan Drupadi is a relatively quiet thoroughfare that runs to the top of Jalan Kaya Ayu, otherwise known as the famous ‘Eat Street’. There are loads of spas just outside the villa, and guests can easily walk to Ku De Ta Beach Club & Potato Head or in the other direction to Gado Gado Beach, where there are so many beach bars where you can sit on the sand on beanbags while watching the brilliant Balinese sunsets with a cold beer or cocktail. You are right in the middle of everything Seminyak is famous for.

Cafes & restaurants. If you love your morning coffee, there are some great cafes and restaurants nearby where you can also take the kids for a bite to eat. Make sure you go to the popular Sisterfields,  Sea Circus, Cafe Bali, and Revolver for the best coffee in Seminyak,  Cornerhouse and Shelter Cafe.

Travelling with kids? Take them to Waterbom Bali in Kuta for a fun family day out on the waterslides.  They’ll also like a surf lesson at Double Six beach, where you can hire boards and instructors by the hour.  For dinner, there are burgers at Grill’d, BossMan or Johnny Rockets, tasty ribs at Naughty Nuris and for dessert, there’s yummy gelato at Gusto in  Kerobokan.

Day Spas. The ladies will love that there are many upmarket day spas nearby where you can get your hair and nails done and have one of those sensational Balinese massages. Head to JI-Vi on Jalan Cendana, The Shampoo Lounge, Glo and Spring Day Spa on the rooftop of Seminyak Village, Rob Peetoom, and Sundari Day Spa in Petitenget (a short taxi ride away).

Beach Clubs. For a treat, go to KU DE TA, La Plancha or Potato Head for sunset cocktails and a few cold Bintangs, followed by some fine dining. Even better, why not go to  Cafe Del Mar or the new mega beach club in Berawa called Atlas Beach Fest to watch the sunset, listen to music and enjoy dinner with the family?

Shopping.  If you fancy some shopping, Seminyak is jam-packed with shopping options. Go to Seminyak Square or Seminyak Village to buy clothes, books, souvenirs and surfwear. Fancy Partying?  Start the night at The Champagne Bar, Nirvana Sports Bar, The Goat or The Forge on Eat Street. Then it’s off to Motel Mexicola for tacos and tequila. Continue the party at La Favela or Shi Shi, where you can dance till dawn.

Sightseeing.  From the villa, you can easily explore other parts of the island. Make sure you visit Tanah Lot Temple (for sunset photos), Ubud’s famous Monkey Forest Temple,  Uluwatu Temple to watch the Kecak Dance, Kuta Beach for sunset Bintangs and Canggu’s popular Batu Bolong area.
