Living Areas

Villa Damai is privy to smart design; a series of floor-to-ceiling glass partition walls allow you to separate the living spaces and relax in air-conditioned comfort or create the perfect alfresco open-air experience. The first section of the versatile open-plan living area features a western kitchen, lovely granite benchtops and an island bar with stools to watch cooking proceedings. A large dining table for 8 guests sets an elegant scene, and then an outdoor alcove with a rattan sofa can be accessed by sliding back the glass partition. At the far end, a comfy suede sofa offers a comfortable place for all to watch a movie before retiring to the privacy of your bedrooms. Guests will enjoy the entertainment system, which consists of an LCD TV, DVD/CD player surround sound system, and iPod docking station.

Villa Damai is located in a private villa complex just off Jalan Plawa, which brings you to Jalan Raya Seminyak, where you will be spoilt for choice; endless chic boutiques, cafes, restaurants, and day spas are all within easy reach. Continue straight across Jalan Raya Seminyak down Jalan Camplung Tanduk, and you will pass loads of cafes and restaurants as well as the beach where you can come every day to watch those fabulous Balinese sunsets over a few cocktails or cold Bintang.

Travelling with kids?  Take them to Waterbom Bali in Kuta for a fun day out on the huge waterslides or the Finns  Recreation Club, where there are waterslides, ten-pin bowling and a huge indoor trampoline centre called Bounce. They might even like a surf lesson at Double Six Beach, where you can hire surfboards and instructors by the hour. There are burgers at Ling Lings or BossMan and great Indonesian food at Mades Warung or Gado Gado on Double Six Beach for dinner. For dessert, nothing beats the gelato at Gusto.

Beach Clubs. For a real treat, go to Ku De Ta, Cafe Del Mar, Atlas Beach Fest or Potato Head Beach Club and rent your private day bed for sunset cocktails, chilled music and dinner. The atmosphere is amazing, the sunsets are breathtaking, and the experience is 5 stars!

Cafes. If you love your coffee, you are in luck, as there are some great cafes nearby where you can also take the family for a bite to eat. Make sure you visit Revolver, Sisterfields, Kim Soo, Shelter and the popular Biku.

Fancy Partying? If you feel like partying, have pre-dinner drinks at the Champagne Bar, The Goat or Nirvana Sports Bar, followed by tequila and tacos at Motel Mexicola. Party into the night at La Favela or Shi Shi or a quiet nightcap at Potato Head before heading back to the villa.

Gyms. Burn off those holiday calories at Soham Gym or F45, where they have the latest cardio equipment and daily group classes. For yoga enthusiasts, there’s Jiwa Hot Yoga along Jalan Kayu Aya.
