Cafes & restaurants. If you love your coffee, there are loads of cafes nearby where you can also take the kids for a bite to eat. Make sure you visit Monsieur Spoon, Pison, the super-popular Revolver, Cornerhouse, BAKED, family-friendly Sisterfields, Batik, and Starbucks.

Fancy partying? Start the night at The Champagne Bar on Jalan Kayu Aya (Eat Street), The Forge, The Goat or Nirvana Sports Bar for pre-dinner drinks & Bintangs. Then, it’s off to Motel Mexicola for tacos, tequila & fun times. Continue the party at La Favela or the popular nightclub Shi Shi, where you can party till dawn.

Beach clubs. Villa Siam is close to some of Seminyak’s most popular beach clubs. For sunset cocktails, while lazing by the pool, make sure you go to KU DE TA, Potato Head and Atlas Beach Fest or the popular Finns Beach Club n Berawa.

Shopping. If you want to spend the day shopping, go to Seminyak Square and go from there. Walk up and down Jalan Kayu Aya (Eat Street), where you’ll find upmarket clothing boutiques, jewellery shops, homewares and local vendors selling those must-have Bali souvenirs. If you want to buy alcohol, head to Vin +, where they also have a selection of wines. You can even bargain with locals in Legian for souvenirs or shop at Kuta’s large department stores like Discovery Shopping or Lippo Mall.

Travelling with kids? Take them to the Finns Recreation Club, where there are waterslides, ten-pin bowling and a huge indoor trampoline centre called Bounce. They might also like a surf lesson at Double Six Beach, where you can hire boards and instructors by the hour. For dinner, take them to Grill’d, Johnny Rockets or BossMan for burgers or Mades Warung for an authentic Indonesian meal. There’s the best gelato at Gusto in Kerobokan or treats at Candylicious at Seminyak Village for dessert. Culturally, take them to Ubud’s famous Monkey Forest Temple for a fun day out with the family or for sunset photos at Tanah Lot Temple.

Day Spas. For the ladies, there are many upmarket day spas nearby where you can get your hair and nails done and have one of those dreamy Balinese massages. For the best treatments, head to The Shampoo Lounge, Rob Peetoom, or Sundari Day Spa in Petitenget.

Sightseeing.  From the villa, you can easily explore other parts of the island. Make sure you visit Tanah Lot Temple (for sunset photos), Ubud’s famous Monkey Forest Temple,  Uluwatu Temple, Kuta Beach for sunset drinks and Canggu’s popular Batu Bolong area.
