The Lawn in Canggu, Bali

We all know what a cool and trendy place Canggu in Bali s becoming, but once you thought it couldn’t be cooler along comes The Lawn in Canggu.

Located at the end of Jalan Batu Bolong just near the famous Old Man’s area The Lawn is fast becoming the place to hang out, watch all the beautiful people, grab a tan, have some lunch, enjoy the cool grooves sounds and basically just chill out with your mates, family or just the 2 of you.

It’s open from 10 am and stays open late 11 pm. The place is the perfect hang for everyone. It’s got a very casual vibe with a restaurant area that seems really informal. In fact, it caters for people who have just come off the beach and want to either take a cool dip in the pool or sit in the restaurants and order one of their delicious wraps, salads or burgers.

The lawn has a totally unpretentious vibe and it’s a come as you are kind of place. Most people tend to come here for the day. They get a prime position near the pool where there can watch the comings and goings of all the beach activity. The cool thing about The Lawn is the fabulous sunset. I really don’t think that you’re going to get a better position in Bali ( except a few of the well know day clubs in Seminyak such as Ku De Ta etc) to watch the sun go down. Grab a cold Bintang, sip on cocktails and be part of the scene here at The Lawn.

For those of you that like to party a bit, it’s best to come to The Lawn on the weekends especially on Friday night. The food menu is your usual beach club fare such as salads, soups, pizzas, burgers, fresh fish, prawns, and Indonesian food. Let’s just say the menu has something for everyone and you’re definitely not going to go hungry here. For the cocktails try their signature Chilli Sour or Pink Rose Martini, these are sure to get those taste buds a workout and kick you into party mode.

There is a separate top deck area that mainly caters for functions and events but you can also come up here (on a walk-in basis) to have a bite to eat and watch the sensational views.

There is so much happening in Canggu. It seems over time you turn around there’s a new venue or cafe opening up. It’s just obvious with the amount of tourism in the area. It’s basically exploding. Having said that, The Lawn seems to be a stayer and looks like it will be around for a long time to come.

So if you happen to be renting a holiday villa in Canggu and want to pop on down for a  sunset viewing or just visiting for the day and want to experience a really great restaurant/bar in Canggu, make sure The Lawn is high on your list of places to visit. From the video, it may look like it’s not that child friendly but it actually is. The kids will have a sensational time in the swimming pool and because it’s right on the ocean it even adds to the fun.
