Around Villa Sedap Malam, Seminyak (near Double Six Beach, Eat Street & Made’s Warung)
With beach access, only a few minutes walk away, you’re sure to spend early mornings and sunset-filled afternoons here or maybe even the entire day. Eat Street can be accessed on foot also and is famous for its endless selection of restaurants, café’s and bars, the hardest thing will be deciding which one to try next! Make sure you go to Cornerhouse, Shelter, Souq, the famous Revolver, Monsieur Spoon and Sisterfields (opposite Seminyak Village).
Travelling with kids? Head to Waterbom Bali in Kuta with massive water slides or perhaps a surf lesson on Double Six beach where you can hire surfboards and an instructor by the hour. Follow this up with dinner at the famous Mades Warung, where you can enjoy an authentic Indonesian meal while watching a traditional Legong Dance. They might even like burgers at BossMan, Johnny Rockets or Grill’d which are all close by. Afterwards, treat them to dessert at the Yogurt Republic or gelato at Mades Manis or Gusto.
For a treat, make sure you go to KU DE TA, Potato Head or the new mega beach club in Batu Belig, Cafe Del Mar, where you can hire your own private day bed or cabana and listen to chilled music, enjoy great cuisine while sipping on cocktails as you watch the best sunset in Bali. Closer to the villa you can go to Double Six beach and relax on a bean bag at La Plancha with the kids and watch the amazing atmosphere as the sun goes down.
For the ladies, there are some upmarket day spas nearby where you can get a facial, dreamy Balinese massage, waxing or your hair and nails done. For the best treatments go to Jari Menari, The Shampoo Lounge, Sundari Day Spa, Therapy and the luxurious Rob Peetoom in Petitenget. Afterwards, spend the day shopping in the chic Oberoi area, where you can browse art galleries, jewellery and homewares stores and the huge Seminyak Flea Market, where you can buy sarongs, T-shirts and all your Bali souvenirs. For more shopping options hop into a Blue Bird taxi and make your way to the Kartika Plaza area in Kuta ( about 20 min away ) where you’ll find Lippo & Discovery Shopping Mall.
