Outdoor & Pool Areas
The outdoor areas offer lots of space with grassed areas, tropical palms and plants and an impressive pool with great use of local stone, adding to the contemporary yet tropical setting. The timber pool deck has an outdoor setting, perfect for shared meals with the family; on the far side of the pool, choose from the chic day bed or sun lounges to relax and soak up the warm Bali sun.
Living Areas
The living areas are sectioned off and open-air, providing great views of the garden and pool. In each room, the villa’s angled ceilings and walls are a real feature; a timber dining table seats 10 guests and a separate lounge area with built-in sofas for a place to relax out of the sun. Upstairs is an air-conditioned media room with a huge, comfy sofa and floor-to-ceiling windows.

The villa has four en-suite bedrooms, the master bedroom’s curved wall adds a modern element, and the king-size bed is super comfy with pristine linens. The en-suite is open-air with an al-fresco outdoor shower, indoor shower and a terrazzo soaking tub, not to forget the twin vanities. Just off the main living area are three guest rooms, one split-level with a king-sized bed as the third room. The fourth bedroom has twin beds that can be converted to suit your needs.

The Layar villa complex is conveniently located along Jalan Mertasari, so you can easily walk to the most popular parts of Seminyak. Three excellent restaurants less than 5 minutes from the villa include Settimo Cielo for divine Italian cuisine, Happy Chappy’s for great Chinese food & Motel Mexicola for a fun night out with tacos and tequila.
Walk a little further, and you’re at Seminyak Square, with many shopping options and ATMs. Potato Head, KU DE TA and Mrs Sippy are great beach/day clubs for fun in the sun, all near your villa complex. You might also like to venture further to the new mega beach club Atlas Beach Fest in Berawa for sunset cocktails, delish food and a few cold Bintangs.
Cafes & restaurants. When you stay at The Layar, you are surrounded by some of Seminyak’s finest cafes and restaurants where you can have a coffee and take the family for a bite. Sisterfields (family-friendly), Cornerhouse, the super-popular Revolver on Jalan Kaya Aya, Batik, Monsieur Spoon, BAKED (croissants & pastries), Sea Circus, Biku and Pison and all close by.
Travelling with kids? Take them to Waterbom Bali in Kuta for a fun day with the family. They might even like a surf lesson at Double Six Beach (1.2 km away), where you can hire boards and instructors by the hour. For more shopping options, head to Legian, where you can bargain with locals for souvenirs or the Kartika Plaza area in Kuta, where you’ll find Discovery Shopping & Lippo Mall.
Fancy Partying? Start the night at The Champagne Bar, Social, The Goat or The Forge on Eat Street. Then, it’s off to Motel Mexicola for tacos and tequila. Continue the party at La Favela or Shi Shi, where you can dance till dawn.
Tourist Stuff. From the villa, you can easily explore other parts of the island. Make sure you visit Tanah Lot Temple (for sunset photos), Ubud’s famous Monkey Forest Temple, Uluwatu Temple to watch the famous Kecak dance, Kuta Beach for sunset Bintangs and souvenir shopping and Canggu’s popular Batu Bolong area.
