Open-plan living room

Villa Karein features a stylish open-plan living room with rice paddy views. There are beautiful handmade white hammocks where you can snooze or read a book, there is a comfortable sofa with lots of cushions, and there is a circular table to sit down with a cup of coffee, checking up on the latest news in the morning. Further to the back, there is a modern open kitchen with a long bar counter and high chairs – another nice spot to sit with drinks and friends/family. From the bar, you can also watch TV. All you need is there!

Large sunny garden with a pool

The outdoor area is large and sunny, and it overlooks the emerald rice paddy fields of Canggu. You can swim laps in the glistening 15-meter infinity swimming pool, chill out in the hammock or sunbathe on the poolside lounge beds. The bamboo garden walls and tropical palm trees add to the natural, peaceful ambience. The best for breakfast, lunch and dinner? It is in the garden at the thatch-roofed alfresco dining pavilion with fantastic rice paddy views. Ready for sunset drinks? Head up to the villa’s rooftop terrace.

All 5 bedrooms are equipped with AC, and each of them features rice field views to wake up to. The bedrooms and styled elegantly with teak wooden furniture and white interiors. There are romantic canopied 4-poster beds, and every room has a private en-suite bathroom. 2 rooms are located inside the main house, and the other 3 are tucked in private stand-alone pavilions with kitchenettes and all, giving a bit more privacy,

Location in Canggu (near Seseh Beach & family-friendly cafes in Batu Bolong)

The villa is located in a peaceful area of Canggu, just a short drive from Seseh & Cemagi Beach. The popular beaches of  Batu Bolong, Echo and Pererenan are all reached easily with a short scooter ride ( or the villa manager can arrange transport ), and it takes less than 30 minutes to get to Seminyak. You get to enjoy the tranquillity and unspoiled nature without having to give up on entertainment.

Cafes. If you love going out for a coffee, you’ll love the Batu Bolong or Batu Mejan areas in Canggu, as there are so many amazing cafes where you can take the family for a bite to eat. Try Sensorium, Shelter, Crate, Deus ex Machina, Monsieur Spoon, Copenhagen, Penny Lane, I am Vegan Babe and the popular Shady Shack.

Travelling with kids? Take them to the Finns Recreation Club, where there are large water slides, ten-pin bowling and a huge indoor trampoline centre called Bounce. For a fun day out, you can go to the Monkey Forest Temple in Ubud or Tanah Lot Temple. For dinner, there are burgers at BB52, pizza at Milk and Madu or Luigis Hot Pizza or an authentic Indonesian meal at Mades Warung in Berawa. For after-dinner treats, they’ll love the gelato at Al Bacio or Gaya at Echo Beach.

Day Spas. For the ladies, there are loads of upmarket day spas where you can get your hair and nails done. For the best treatments, head to Spring Day Spa, MYNX or AMO.

Shopping. Follow this up with an afternoon browsing the art galleries, jewellery and homewares shops in the chic Oberoi area of Seminyak. For more shopping options, make your way to the Kartika Plaza area of Kuta (about 45 min away), where you’ll find the Lippo and Discovery Mall. There are also lots of shopping options in Canggu or Seminyak’s famous Eat Street.

Beach Clubs. Canggu is the beach club hub of Bali, and Villa Karein is near some of the best beach clubs. Make sure you go to La Brisa, The Lawn, Atlas Beach Fest or the popular Finns for sunset cocktails, great music and fine dining.
