Villa Bangkuang is a large 5-bedroom holiday rental only a short 300-metre walk from the black sands on Seseh Beach. With   generous Bali-style living and dining areas, a sunny swimming pool and a team of Balinese staff to pamper you throughout your stay, including daily breakfast; this is an excellent choice if you want a beach-style holiday yet close to the hip Canggu area’s cafes, restaurants and shops.

 Living Areas & Swimming Pool

A large dining table comfortably seats 12 people for dinner parties or where everyone can have their daily breakfasts before hitting the beach. For family movie nights, there’s a seating area with comfy sofas. If you fancy cooking snacks for the kids, a modern, fully equipped kitchen has a sit-up bar, wine fridge and cooking facilities. If you want to lock everything up, close the sliding glass doors and enjoy air-conditioned living areas. But open them up, and you have an indoor/outdoor ambience with views from the garden and pool. Chill out on the sofa and enjoy the balmy, salty Bali breeze. For some quiet downtime, guests can enjoy an air-conditioned library that opens onto a beautiful garden terrace, and for extra privacy, there’s a bathroom. And to burn off some holiday calories, you can work out at the in-villa gym or do some stretching on the yoga mats. For even more decadence, have a masseuse come to the Villa and grab a dreamy massage in the spa room next door.

There’s a impressive 17-metre private pool with ample space for everyone to relax and chill out on the day beds. The kids will be spending hours here playing. Why not go to the beach in the morning and head back to the Villa for a couple of laps to cool off?

5 Modern Bedrooms

The huge main bedroom occupies the whole upper floor with a lovely four-poster bed and sitting area with a sofa set where you might like to hang with a book and have some quality holiday ‘me time’. The room is fully air-conditioned and boasts a dressing room with ample wardrobe space and a desk area. To add to the luxury of the bedroom, there’s an ensuite bathroom with a him and her basin, a walk-in rain shower, and a bathtub. For afternoon cocktails, step onto the balcony and relax on the couch.

The first guest bedroom is in a handy location next to the entrance on the ground floor and is fully air-conditioned with an ensuite bathroom. The furniture is all tastefully decorated and includes a sofa that can be set up as an additional bed (for a young child – make sure you ask us about this option).

Next to the first guest bedroom is a large bedroom with 3 single beds and a large sofa that can be used as an extra bed. This is a perfect room for lots of kids who can sleep together. There’s an ensuite bathroom with a rain shower and bathtub for convenience.

The fourth and fifth bedrooms are all in a pavilion in the garden. Each bedroom has a king-sized bed, is fully air-conditioned, and has en suite luxury bathrooms.

Staff

The Villa is serviced by a team of professional staff who will take care of the running of the Villa. Housekeepers will attend daily to change all bed linen, replace towels, and clean all common living and dining areas. A villa manager will oversee everything. And if you need dinner reservations, a driver to take you sightseeing, or activities for the kids, he is happy to help.

Around Villa Bangkuang in Canggu

The village of Seseh is on the outskirts of Canggu and still maintains that ‘Bali village’ feel with local shops, farmers tending their rice fields and a quiet beach where you can walk, swim and surf. The beauty about staying in Seseh is that you get the best of both: quiet and authentic Balinese experience, yet less than 15-minutes away by taxi is the buzzy, happening area of Canggu with a wealth of restaurants, cafes and beach clubs; it’s the ideal balance for friends or large groups looking for a private retreat where the focus is on the beach yet lots of touristy things to do are all nearby.

Travelling with kids? Take them to Pererenan or Echo Beach for a surf lesson where you can hire boards and local instructors. Nearby, there’s Tanah Lot Temple, which is excellent for sightseeing and memorable family photo sessions. For dinner, head into central Canggu, where you can treat them to burgers and pizza at Luigis Hot Pizza or Milk and Madu. For an action-packed day out, they’ll love the waterslides at Waterbom Bali in Kuta or the trampoline centre at Finns Recreation Club.

Beach Clubs. The villa is near some of the most popular beach clubs in Bali, where you can enjoy magnificent ocean views and fine dining or have a couple of cold Bintangs and enjoy the music and people-watching. Head to La Brisa, Old Man’s, The Lawn, Times Warung or for a treat, KU DE TA in Seminyak.

Shopping. If you want to get out of the villa and explore the nearby areas, Canggu and Seminyak are where you can shop till you drop. Famous areas like Jalan Kayu Aya in Seminyak and Jalan Batu Bolong are a must-see.

Cafes and restaurants. The area of Seseh surrounding the villa is starting to see a few cafes popping up, but for the real deal, Canggu is where it’s at and has some of the best cafes and restaurants in Bali. Names like Mason, Motel Mexicola, Deus ex Machina, Sensorium, Copenhagen, Bokashi, Hoi An, Shelter, and BAKED are all worth visiting.
