The pool is 12-metre long, perfect for lap swimming and on the poolside timber deck, there are luxurious double day beds for those wanting to work on their tan or read a book in the shade of a parasol. Villa Nedine houses 4 air-conditioned bedrooms. The master suite sits on the second floor, adjoined to a private balcony. The views of the surroundings are stunning, and you can even catch a glimpse of the ocean. The remaining 3 bedrooms are located on the ground floor, opening up to the sprawling garden and the pool. Canggu has everything: beach clubs, shopping boutiques, yoga studios, nightlife, markets, water parks – it is impossible to get bored! Echo Beach is the most famous surf spot, and the sunsets are gorgeous as well! Explore the happening Batu Bolong Street and check out what’s going on in Berawa or even in Seminyak (15 minutes on a scooter).
Cafes & restaurants. If you love your coffee, there are loads of amazing cafes nearby where you can also grab a bit to eat. Make sure you check out Watercress, Milk and Madu ( this has a kiddie’s playground area ), Botanik, the stylish Folie, Pels Supershop, Milu by Nook, and visit the Tamora Gallery in Berawa, where there are even more cafes and restaurants.
Beach Clubs. There are also lots of beach clubs in the area where you can watch amazing sunsets with a few cocktails. Make sure you go to La Brisa, Cafe Del Mar, the super-popular Old Man’s and, of course, the very stylish The Lawn. Also, make sure you go to the new Atlas Beach Fest in Berawa, or for a fun night out, head to Motel Mexicola at the end of Jalan Batu Bolong.
Day Spas. For the ladies, head to Rob Peetoom, Sundari Day Spa, Think Pink Nails in Petitenget or Spring Day Spa, where you can get your hair and nails done and have one of those dreamy Balinese massages. Follow this up with an afternoon shopping in the chic Oberoi area of Seminyak, where there are art galleries, homewares and boutique shops. You can also shop in the popular Jalan Batu Bolong area, which has lots of shops, cafes and & a lovely local souvenir market called Love Anchor.
Travelling with kids? You can take them to the Finns Recreation Club, which has waterslides, ten-pin bowling and a massive indoor trampoline centre called Bounce. They’ll also like a surf lesson at Echo Beach, where you can hire boards and instructors by the hour. Afterwards, treat them to burgers at Bang Bang or Pit Stop, and for dessert, there’s gelato at Al Bacio or Gaya.
