The Maya Villa is a family-friendly 4-bedroom Canggu holiday rental. It’s extremely private, and the views are sensational, looking over Balinese gardens and the swimming pool. The advantage of staying at The Maya Villa is that it’s very private & peaceful, yet you are close to well-known beaches like Berawa, Old Man’s & Echo Beach, as well as the buzz and lively shopping and restaurants in Seminyak.
Also, you are only moments away from the Finns Club, which is ideal for kids. While they are off having a great time, you can get your villa manager to organise transport so you can see the sights or, if you prefer, laze around the pool and soak up the tropical vibe.
Large Living Areas
This villa is grand; you will immediately notice this once you arrive. There is a beautiful 15m swimming pool where you can spend days lazing by the gazebo. You also get ceiling fans and blinds to keep you cool in the afternoons and evenings. If you want to add to the sense of space, floor-to-ceiling sliding doors can be opened when you are entertaining. This really creates a stunning ambience that blends the outside garden area with the internal spaces.
The kitchen, as you would expect, like the rest of the villa, is chic. There is also a huge 10-seater lounge, flat-screen TV, fully air-conditioned and reliable Wi-Fi so you can start posting all your great holiday pics to Instagram.

Villa The Maya has a team of staff that will look after you. There is a chef, driver, and housemaid who cleans the villa daily. Getting your free 1st morning breakfast made for you every morning is a bonus for the whole family. Try the fresh fruit with yoghurt, or get the chef to whip up your favourite eggs. All you have to do is relax and be pampered throughout your stay.
Around The Maya Villa, Canggu (close to Berawa beach, cafes & Finns)
Known for its peaceful surroundings and tropical rice field views, the area of Berawa is known for its laid-back, carefree holiday lifestyle, which is the perfect setting for The Maya Villa. The villa sits on the border of 3 areas: Canggu, Umalas and Berawa, so getting anywhere is going to be really easy.
Travelling with kids? They’ll like a surf lesson at Old Man’s Beach, where you can hire boards and instructors by the hour. For dinner, take them to Made’s Warung for an authentic Indonesian meal, burgers at BB52 or Bottega for the best pasta. After dinner, there’s always room for gelato & cake at the Secret Spot.
Shopping. If you want to shop, you can visit Canggu’s popular Batu Bolong area. It’s easy to get to and only 10 mins away by taxi. There’s also a daily market in Canggu called Love Anchor where you can buy all your Bali souvenirs, and it’s well worth a visit. Jalan Pantai Berawa is the closest shopping hub near the villa and now has some cute little shops selling clothes, swim & surfwear, jewellery and homewares.
Beach Clubs. For a real treat, head to The Lawn for sunset cocktails or a few cold Bintangs with your friends and enjoy the chilled music, great food and perhaps the best sunset in Bali. This is where everyone goes and should be on your Bali bucket list. Other beach clubs nearby include Atlas Beach Fest, La Brisa and Cafe Del Mar.
Cafes & restaurants. There are loads of amazing cafes and restaurants in the Berawa and Canggu areas where you can grab a coffee and a bite to eat with the kids. Make sure you go to Mason, Milu by Nook, Milk & Madu (with a kid’s playground), BAKED, Butterman, Matcha or the popular Nude & Mowie’s (they have a pool). You can make your way to Jalan Batu Bolong (Canggu’s central cafe area) and go to Revolver, Deus ex Machina, the amazing Crate and Shady Shack.
Day Spas. Ladies, there are lots of upmarket day spas in the Canggu area where you can get your hair and nails done, plus have one of those relaxing Balinese massages. Make sure you visit Spring Day Spa, Goldust Beauty Lounge, TONIC at Echo Beach, and the stylish JAMU, Flow or Face Day on Jalan Pantai Berawa for the best treatments.
Sightseeing. From the villa, you can easily explore other parts of the island. Make sure you visit Tanah Lot Temple (for sunset photos), Ubud’s famous Monkey Forest Temple, Uluwatu Temple, Kuta Beach for sunset Bintang’s, Ubud local markets and Jimbaran Bay for a seafood dinner on the beach with the kids.

What an absolutely stunning villa The Maya is & it's also in a fabulous position next to the beach and not too far from Seminyak (which was ideal for shopping).
Without doubt one of the best family holidays we have been on and we put it all down to this incredible villa. It was our little private tropical oasis. Everything was unbelievably good - bedrooms, en suites and pool area were as expected, fabulous!

A completely gorgeous holiday villa where the whole ambiance and package is perfect. Having spent 9 days here I think it will be really difficult to go back to staying in a hotel.
The fact that we had our own pool and were waited on by lovely staff simply enhanced our whole holiday experience. An absolute gem of a place and I'm so happy our family decided to stay here.

Oasis of calm amongst the rice paddies
Highly recommend villa Maya. Great quiet location amongst the rice paddies of Canggu, but close to some of the best cafes and restaurants in the area and only a short Vespa ride to some of the best surf beaches.
The villa is fantastic and especially made so by its outstanding villa team: Jum and Rizal are super helpful, Nyoman’s food is delicious. They were also so caring and friendly towards our young children. Highly recommend this place. An idea villa for a relaxing holiday.

Wonderful stay at Villa The Maya
Villa The Maya was everything I expected and more, the photos don't do it justice.
The location is brilliant, so close to Canggu but out of the hustle and bustle. The Maya is beautifully presented and each bedroom has it's own ensuite. The pool area is large and we spent many hours relaxing in the gazebo next to the pool.
The highlight of The Maya is the wonderful staff. Nothing was too hard for them, they went out of their way to make sure that we had everything that we needed. I recommend eating in at least one night as the food is superb. I am already making plans to visit Villa The Maya again in the near future.

“Perfect stay at Villa Maya”
We had a group of 9 friends enjoy a perfect, 8 night stay at The Maya.
The bedrooms, facilities and outdoor areas, including the pool were all in immaculate condition.
The Maya was a luxurious and relaxing oasis for us while we explored Canggu and the surrounding areas by scooter.
We were lucky enough to spend our stay with the professional and hardworking Budi, Rizal and Nyaman. The service we received from Budi and Rizal (morning and afternoon butlers) was nothing short of spectacular, while Nyaman prepared delicious 1st morning breakfast and a lunch and dinner upon request.
Would definitely recommend a stay at The Maya, based on the quality of the villa and the service we received from Budi, Nyaman and Rizal.

“Excellent Villa, Exceeding Expectations”
We stayed at The Maya for 7 nights in June for my Mum's birthday celebration - there was a group of 8 adults and 1 child. The villa was beautifully presented and as per the pics shown. The villa had staff on hand - Budi the butler, the chef and Rizal. Nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and they were always helpful and attentive to us.
On my Mums birthday, the staff helped to organise on-site spa experience and also surprised (us all) with a birthday cake for my mum.
1st morning breakfast was cooked for us and there were a variety of options to choose from - they were all delicious. We also chose to have dinner at the Villa 2 nights where the chef cooked for us. The food was excellent and very good value.
The pool was great, there is also an outdoor lounge area next to the pool where we spent most of our time.
It is a short walk to cafes and restaurants in Canggu or alternatively the staff will organise hire of scooters, book taxi's or organise a driver.
I would definitely recommend staying here and will return when we go back to Bali another time.

We were lucky to get a last-minute booking at Villa Maya (aka The Maya Villa) as it was fully booked otherwise (thanks, Bali Villa Escapes, for helping us).
This place was amazing: huge pool; bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, TVs, and plenty of storage; spacious common area (kitchen, living area, smart TV, dining table) that can be either fully open or fully enclosed; AC *and* fans in every room.
Perfect for just about anyone: large families, four couples, four highly private individuals, or smaller families wanting to get away from each other.
The villa comes with on-site staff, which we are not normally used to having around, but who was incredibly sweet, attentive and discreet (hi Nyoman, Putu, Anom & villa manager Apriadi)!!
Location was also central: around the corner from Brunch restaurant & Bali Equestrian Center, minutes from Milk & Madu, Nook, Finns, The Atlas, and the Berawa/Canggu beaches.
We plan to return whenever our budget allows it!

We had an awesome stay at Villa Maya.
The villa manager was there to greet us along with our butlers (apologies I forget your names but you were both outstanding). The manager gave us a personal tour and was available to answer any questions which was a nice touch.
The villa itself is outstanding; very spacious, grounds are kept clean, inside modern and comfortable. Pool is huge and deep, our 4 year old and myself spent a lot of time in the pool! Brunch Club is just a quick walk down the road so a great option for 1st morning breakfast and lunch.
Would suggest taking some mosquito repellent as quite a few around due to the villa being situated close to rice paddies, but staff are good at spraying for mozzies and making sure everything can be done to keep them away (we actually hardly got bitten at all).
Special thanks to Stevani for all her assistance in organzing and booking our stay, and politely answering all of my many questions.

We booked the Villa Maya through Bali Villa Escapes, who provided an efficient and helpful service. The Villa Maya was as described. All the onsite staff and the Villa Manager looked after our group of eight people exceptionally well: they were professional, helpful and friendly. Our 1st morning breakfast were magnificent and made with beautiful produce, which we really appreciated. The Villa was well located, and we walked to a number of great restaurants. The pool was magnificent, and the grounds were conducive to serious relaxation

Villa The Maya was much much better than expected.
The villa was stylish, modern and well appointed with top facilities and pool area where the kids had the best time playing games and non stop in and out of the pool. We could watch them from the lounge room so that was handy. Location was a bonus as Berawa has so many great cafes and little restaurants we kept discovering. And we all had a scooter so zipping around was easy as was the beach - so close. Would highly recommend for a family for sure!!
