Fabulous Vietnamese Restaurants in Seminyak & Canggu
Published: January 1, 2018
You might be on a holiday in Bali staying in one of our holiday Bali Villas but did you know that so close to you there are at least 3 fabulous Vietnamese restaurants worth visiting.
That’s right! You can take the family and grab a really healthy Pho or tasty Vietnamese Bun Mi roll with pork, veggies or meat.
Although not a common sight in the Seminyak or Canggu areas, the growth in Vietnamese style cafes and restaurants are starting to grow. You see them in most tourist dining strips.
If you happen to ( as most people are) stay locally in Seminyak, Canggu or Berawa you are going to find that these restaurants are really close by. All you need to do is grab a taxi and mention one of these or show this article to your villa manager and they will be more than happy to organise some transport for you. So go on and enjoy some fabulous food at really great prices!
Xich Lo Warung Vietnam
Jl. Pengubengan, Kerobokan 81171, Bali
This would have to be one of the most famous restaurants due to the most amazing food as well as the location among the rice fields. This was the first really good Vietnamese restaurant to hit the dining scene in Bali and it is seriously worth a visit. Its location is also something to note as you are right in the middle of the rice fields which just adds to the lovely ambience. It’s not a huge place but there is ample indoor and outdoor seating. Prices are also really competitive considering the freshness of the food and the great produce. This is at the top of our list for the sheer taste factor. You will love the chilled out vibe at sunset time as you nibble on your thinly sliced beef strips as you watch the farmers at work. This is pure dining bliss!
Great rice field views from this amazing restaurant
Pho Hwitta
Jl. Pantai Berawa No. 8, Canggu 80361, Bali
This has to be one of the best locations for a restaurant in the whole of Bali as it’s set right in the heart of all the seriously trendy cafes and other restaurants in the very trendy, hip and cool area of Berawa. It just so happens that the owners of Pho Hwitta picked a fabulous location for this amazing little Vietnamese place. Not only are you dining with gorgeous rice field views but you also happen to be in an area that’s buzzing the whole time. It’s a night out for the family as you can go and grab a gelato or coffee at any of the other places nearby which are all within walking distance. The food here is also unbelievably fresh with all the best of the best ingredients used in all dishes. This is a newcomer on the Bali food scene but it’s already making its presence felt. It’s close to the Finns Recreation Club which means it’s really easy to get to.
Banh Mi & Beans
Jl. Raya Semat 30 | Intersection: Gang Salak 20, Canggu
Trendy Vietnamese restaurant/cafe in the super cool area of Canggu where you can get one of the best rolls in Bali for less than $5. It’s very informal, chilled out and just the way it should be after a day at the beach or seeing the sights of Canggu. No need to dress up here. Come as you are & have a Pho and have a wonderful feed that’s also really healthy. One of our favourites in Canggu.
Bo & Bun
Jl. Raya Basangkasa No. 26, Seminyak, Bali
You’re not going to find a Vietnamese restaurant in a better location as this beauty is wedged right between Seminyak and Legian for pure convenience. The decor is French chic but the food is unmistakenly Vietnamese cuisine at its very finest. Produce is all locally sourced and grown and although there are dishes from all over Asia the slant is Vietnamese. Try the Bar Gao Pork Belly and of course, the rice paper rolls are simply exquisite. The place has a vibrant, young, buzzy vibe that’s humming nicely the whole time with locals and tourists coming here for the atmosphere, great service and mouth-watering food.
Saigon Street
Jl. Petitenget Raya No 77X, Kerobokan, Bali
This well known and increasingly popular family-friendly restaurant in Seminyak serves all the well known and best Vietnamese fare. Definitely go for the Pho and spring rolls as they are the best in Bali. Located on Eat St means that you will probably need to get there early because of the queues. Tasty food with a really buzzy vibe makes this a Vietnamese restaurant worth trying out. The menu is extensive and the place is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner so if you are out and about shopping, Seminyak is a good place to refuel those hungry bodies. Try the snapper and prawn dumplings or the steamed Peking duck. There is also a bar if you feel like a few drinks before dinner and if you coming with the family there is also a kids menu where they can have chicken and chips, the famous beef noodle soup or fish and chips.
They have just recently opened a new restaurant in Canggu – if you staying in one of our Canggu villas then this is the perfect place to come for a few cocktails and probably the best Pho in Canggu.
