There is Now a Cinema in Kuta!

Visit Beachwalk Cinema in Kuta

The number of times I have wished there was a cinema complex in Kuta is amazing.

But now, that wait is over.

Guess what? Kuta now has a new cinema complex, and it is right in the heart of all the tourist action on the beach, and it’s called Beachwalk. It’s a massive complex of shops, bars, fast food outlets, restaurants and boutiques.

The new Beachwalk Mall was completed in 2016-17, and you can spend hours shopping in the great new stores and follow it up with one of the latest movies in the cinema. This is perfect for a night out at one of the complex’s many new Indonesian and Western-style restaurants after dinner. Perfect if you travelling to Bali with kids and want to keep them entertained, especially if it’s raining outside. The whole complex will keep the family entertained for hours.

If you are staying in Seminyak, grab a cab or get on your motorbike and make the trip up Jalan Legian to Pantai Kuta. It’s about a 20-30 min ride, depending on the traffic. If you are going to see a movie allow a bit more time flexibility for the traffic jams in the Legian/Kuta area, especially during peak hours.

The mall is beautifully designed with a modern look and style and is a shopper’s paradise, so bring your credit card for this trip. It’s got everything from high-end fashion boutiques to stores like Gap, Billabong & the really popular Pull & Bear.

This piece of shopping paradise has much more to it than retail shopping. It has a wide range of world-class clothing boutiques, globally named branded stores (no copies) and top dining restaurants offering multi-cuisine options. There are also pizza places and enough fast food outlets to keep the kids happy and off your back for a while.

A great idea is to perhaps drop them in the cinema for a few hours while you go and grab a massage and spend some downtime together. Around the Beachwalk and in the complex, there are spa treatment facilities, so all you need to do is get rid of the kids, let them enjoy themselves without the folks around, giving you the opportunity to shop and grab a 90 min massage, facial, reflexology or explore the cool little alleyways around Kuta. This kills 2 birds with one stone and is certainly recommended.

For foodies, Indonesian East meets western culture at Beachwalk Mall! It’s really the best of both worlds. You will love the variety on offer here.

You can escape the madness of Kuta here and enter a serene environment yet still have that Balinese feel to your experience. This is because it is designed so that there are heaps of tropical greenery and walkways decorated to still ensure you have that Bali vibe holiday feel. It’s not like your typical Westfield-style mall, the Beachwalk is more of an Asian-inspired mall so often found in Singapore, Jakarta, Malaysia or Hong Kong. When you get there, you will know what we mean.

Going to the cinema in Kuta is cheap

You will be paying about $10 for a gold-class seat, which is a great value.

So next time you are in Bali and looking for something different to do, why not explore the Beach walk.
