The generously sized swimming pool is the central feature of the villa’s garden. Lovely tropical palms line the high walls, providing great privacy for guests, while a bougainvillea provides a burst of colour. The pool deck houses four large sun loungers perfect for bathing in the sun when you’re not frolicking in the pool.

The Living Area

An expansive open-air living pavilion with alang alang roofing provides the central hub for guests to wine, dine and spend quality time together. At one end, behind a solid wall, is a fully equipped galley-style kitchen featuring a rustic design in polished cement; two refrigerators will make sure there are plenty of cold drinks for everyone. There is a beautiful rustic country-style timber dining table with plenty of room for 8 guests where you can enjoy fresh seafood banquets.  A huge sofa and day bed form a wonderful space for guests to relax and unwind. All this is set under high ceilings with lovely exposed white beams and large fans to keep you cool throughout the day.

The villa has three spacious and tastefully decorated bedrooms featuring lovely slate stone floors, all with king-sized canopied beds and fine mosquito netting; guests will sleep well. Walk through the antique timber door to the lovely open-air en-suites done in smooth polished cement.

The villa is impeccably maintained during your stay; services include housekeeping and pool maintenance. A skilled chef can be requested to do all the cooking or a driver to drive you about town or maybe a day trip to Ubud – perhaps even an in-house villa massage right by the privacy of your pool.

Villa Damai Manis is located within a short walk of the main Seminyak strip, Jalan Oberoi, famous for its shopping, extensive dining opportunities, hip cafes, delis, yoga studios and nightlife. End the day at the beach, hanging out at La Plancha at  Double Six Beach on the comfy beanbags as you take in a magical sunset with a cold drink.

Cafes & restaurants. If you feel like grabbing a coffee & a bite to eat, there are loads of great cafes nearby. Make sure you go to Revolver, Biku, Kynd, Ingka, Pison, Cornerhouse & Sisterfields.

Beach clubs. If you want to experience Balinese sunsets in style, then four of Bali’s best day beach clubs, Mano Beach House, Cafe Del Mar, and Ku De Ta & Potato Head, are worth a visit and are close by. For a treat, head to  Atlas Beach Fest in Berawa for a cocktail, great vibes and amazing food right by the ocean.

Shopping. Seminyak has many shopping options for clothes, homewares, jewellery and souvenirs. Make your way to Jalan Kayu Aya or Eat Street, or Seminyak Village. You can head to Legian or Kuta, a short taxi ride away, for more shopping options.

Fancy Partying? Start the night at The Champagne Bar, The Forge, Nirvana Sports Bar or Social for pre-dinner drinks. Then, it’s off to Motel Mexicola for tacos and tequila. Continue the party at La Favela or Shi Shi, where you can dance till dawn.

Day Spas. Ladies, some amazing day spas are nearby to get your hair and nails done and have a dreamy Balinese massage. For the best treatments, head to Rob Peetoom or Sundari Day Spa in Petitenget, Think Pink Nails in Batu Belig or Spring Day Spa at the rooftop of Seminyak Village.

Travelling with kids? Take them to Waterbom Bali in Kuta (Asia’s premier water theme park) or the Finns Recreation Club, which has waterslides, ten-pin bowling, and a massive indoor trampoline centre. They might even like a surf lesson at Double Six Beach, where you can hire boards and instructors by the hour. Follow this up with dinner at Mades Warung, where they can enjoy an authentic Indonesian meal or Naughty Nuris for the best burgers and ribs in Bali. Take them for a reasonably priced meal; you are lucky as Seminyak has many great restaurants, such as  Bali Cafe, Ultimo, Sea Circus, Grill’d, Bossman, and Ling Lings.

Sightseeing.  From the villa, you can easily explore other parts of the island. Make sure you visit Tanah Lot Temple (for sunset photos), Ubud’s famous Monkey Forest Temple,  Uluwatu Temple, and Kuta Beach for sunset Bintangs, shopping, and Canggu’s hip cafes.
