In a perfect location in the heart of Seminyak, Villa Gauguin is within easy walking distance of all the fun and excitement that Seminyak offers.

Shopping. Seminyak is the shopping heart of Bali, and when you stay at Villa Gauguin, you are close to Eat Street, which has lots of shopping options where you can buy jewellery, homewares, clothes and souvenirs. Start at Seminyak Village on Jalan Cendana and walk along Jalan Kayu Aya (or Eat Street). Head towards Legian, where there are even more shopping options. For a day out, get your villa manager to arrange transport to Canggu’s famous Jalan Batu Bolong area, where you can buy souvenirs at the popular Love Anchor markets and browse the myriad of shops. There’s also Beachwalk in Kuta for great shopping.

Fancy Partying. Start the night at The Champagne Bar, Social, The Goat or The Forge for pre-dinner drinks. Then, it’s off to Motel Mexicola for tequila and tacos. Continue the party at Shi Shi or La Favela, where you can dance till dawn. Or, head to Ku De Ta for a nightcap.

Day Spas. Ladies, there are many day spas nearby where you can get your hair and nails down and have one of those dreamy Balinese massages. For the best treatments, head to Jari Menari, Spring Day Spa at Seminyak Village or The Shampoo Lounge at the top of Eat Street. In Petitenget, there’s the ultra-stylish Rob Peetoom or Sundari Day Spa, and Think Pink Nails is in Batu Belig.

Beach Clubs. Villa Gauguin is close to some of the most popular beach clubs on the island, where you can watch the best sunsets in Bali, sip cocktails, listen to great music, and enjoy some fine dining. Make sure you go to Potato Head, Ku De Ta, Cafe Del Mar, Atlas Beach Fest and the famous Finns.

Cafes and restaurants. If you love your coffee, there are many cafes and restaurants nearby where you can also take the kids for a meal. Head to the popular family-friendly Cornerhouse or Sisterfields, Revolver (the best coffee in Seminyak), Kim Soo, Pison, Shelter, MamaSan, Monsieur Spoon, BAKED and Batik.

Travelling with kids? Take them to Waterbom Bali for a fun day out on the waterslides or to the Finns Recreation Club with ten-pin bowling, waterslides, and an indoor trampoline centre. They’ll also like a surf lesson on Double Six Beach, where you can hire boards and instructors by the hour. There’s the best Indonesian food at Mades Warung or ribs at Naughty Nuri’s for dinner.
