Villa Kinaree Seminyak

As you enter Villa Kinaree Estate through the large timber doors, you are immediately greeted by a stone pathway and tropical plants that lead you through the open-air living area to the large garden between the main living pavilion and the two-storey accommodation pavilion. The pool is flanked by mature frangipanis gracefully rustling in the breeze. At one end of the pool, sun lounges are ready with comfy cushions and soft towels. The pool plays a role in the social hub, where guests can easily converse with each other from the living area as they take a refreshing dip or work on their tan on the pool deck.

The main living area is open-air and features a great kitchen with a long breakfast bar so guests can sit on the stools, enjoy a drink and talk with friends sprawled out on the huge sofa or maybe those on the sun deck. A billiards table for a spot of sporting competition and a separate air-conditioned room houses the formal dining room and feature a large timber table for 8 guests and, adjacent, another comfy sofa and a large flat-screen TV. The living spaces offer fantastic functionality and provide alfresco and air-conditioned comforts.

The master suite is upstairs in the accommodation pavilion, featuring a king-size bed,  double rain showers and a private balcony overlooking the garden. One guest suite is opposite the master, and two more are on the lower floor, opening onto the pool and gardens. All rooms feature king-size beds, plenty of storage space and private en-suites with monsoon showers and complimentary bathroom amenities. All rooms boast modern amenities, including flat-screen TVs with surround-sound speakers.

The staff at Villa Kinaree will greet guests with traditional Balinese warmth, making sure you are well looked after throughout your stay. Guests will look forward to breakfasts prepared by the staff; however, a chef can be requested at any time for an extra charge to prepare lunches and dinners of any flare. The villa will be cleaned daily by the housekeeping staff, and nighttime security staff will make sure you sleep at ease. Airport transfers, day trips, scooter hire, babysitters, massage and spa treatments can all be arranged for you by the staff.

Around Villa Kinaree Estate, Seminyak (200 metres to the beach & KU DE TA)

Central Seminyak, ‘Eat Street’ where you find all the amazing restaurants and boutiques, is a mere 5 min stroll, and Seminyak Beach is also just 5 minutes away. The villa is tucked in a quiet lane that runs down to the entrance to Ku de ta, where you can walk along the Oberoi/Petitenget strip to Sea Circus, Revolver or Pison for a morning coffee, La Lucciola for lunch or maybe Kynd Community for delish vegan food. Seminyak Village and Seminyak Square are also close by, where there are loads of cafes, shops & places to change money and buy souvenirs.

Day Spas. For the ladies, there are many fabulous day spas nearby where you can get your hair and nails done and have one of those dreamy Balinese massages. For the best treatments, head to Rob Peetoom or Sundari Day Spa in Petitenget, Spring Day Spa, Ji-VI, GLO or The Shampoo Lounge.

Shopping. Follow this up with an afternoon browsing the art galleries, homewares and jewellery stores in the chic Oberoi area. You can also buy all your Bali souvenirs at the Seminyak Flea Market close by. For more shopping options, hop into a Blue Bird Taxi and make your way into Legian, where you can bargain with locals. In Kuta, there’s also the massive Bali Galleria or Beachwalk.

Fancy partying? Start the night off at The Champagne Bar, The Goat, Social or The Forge for pre-dinner cocktails; then it’s off to Motel Mexicola for tacos, tequila, Bintang and fun times. Continue the party at La Favela or Shi Shi, where you can dance till dawn or head to Potato Head ( 1.2 km away ) for a nightcap before returning to the villa.

Travelling with kids? Take them to Double Six Beach (800 metres), where you can hire surfboards and instructors by the hour or perhaps a fun day out at Waterbom Bali. For dinner, there are burgers at Grill’d, BossMan or Sisterfields and dessert at Gusto Gelato in Kerobokan or Candylicious at Seminyak Village. You can also hire a driver  & go to the famous Monkey Forest Temple in Ubud or the holy Hindu Tanah Lot Temple on the water for sunset photos.
