Outdoor & Pool Areas
The gardens at Villa Mary are expansive, to say the least, and offer views of the adjacent rice terraces, the vast ocean vistas and a neighbouring stream leading out to the sea. A huge manicured lawn separates the villa’s pavilions from the stunning 20-metre infinity pool.
It’s ideal for the whole family with a large wading pool for the kids, and the lower timber pool deck houses a Jacuzzi where you can lay back, grab a tan and stare out to the horizon on the ocean. Plenty of recliners with parasols and a large gazebo is ideal for alfresco dining whilst enjoying mouth-watering meals prepared by your private chef.
Living Areas
An open-air living area is on the upper floor of the main pavilion, lending itself to cooling sea breezes and amazing views of rice fields and the azure ocean. What a fabulous setting for a cocktail party, and measuring some 100 square metres, there is no shortage of room for many guests. Downstairs, the dining area is enclosed for air-conditioned comfort with a modern American kitchen, and if you like movies, the state-of-the-art cinema room with first-class seating is sure to be a hit. Guests are spoiled with entertainment facilities at Villa Mary, including cable TV, DVD, a Bose sound system with garden speakers, and iPod docks.

Five luxurious bedroom suites provide air-conditioned comfort and a mixed selection of premium king and queen-sized bedding. Around Villa Mary, Canggu (stunning Pererenan beachfront location)
The villa is between Seseh and Echo Beach, offering guests easy access to the beach for relaxing strolls. Echo Beach is only 5 minutes by scooter, and here you can enjoy some excellent surfing breaks and find plenty of cafes, restaurants, bars and shops. The late afternoon seafood BBQs are very popular here, and it’s a great spot to enjoy the sunsets. Make sure you go to La Brisa Beach Club for delish cocktails and the best sunset views.
Seminyak is around 30 30-minute drive from the villa, and along the way, you will pass Finns and the popular Finns Recreation Club ( with water slides, trampolines, and ten-pin bowling); that’s a great place for the kids. The ultra-trendy shopping and dining area of Jalan Batu Bolong is also close. If you’re coming here for lunch or dinner, make sure you try Deus ex Machina, Mason, Fishbone, Vida Cafe, Crate Cafe & Monsieur Spoon for the best pastries & croissants.
Beach Clubs. You might also like to rent your private cabana at the new mega beach club, Atlas Beach Fest in Berawa, where you can bring the family and enjoy chilled music, fine dining and sensational beach views. Other beach clubs worth visiting are KU DE TA, Potato Head, Mano Beach House, and Mrs Sippy, which are all close by & your private chauffeur can take you there!
Day Spas. For the ladies, there are some upmarket day spas nearby where you can get your hair and nails done and have one of those dreamy Balinese massages. Head to AMO, Goldust Beauty Lounge, and Spring & Therapy Day Spas for the best treatments.
Shopping. Follow this up with some shopping along Jalan Batu Bolong, where you can buy artwork, jewellery, homewares and gifts at Love Anchor market. For more shopping options, Seminyak Village has boutique shopping options, and Kuta has large shopping centres like Lippo & Discovery Shopping Mall.
Cafes & restaurants. Canggu is the cafe epicentre of Bali, so if you love your coffee and a bite to eat, you are in luck. Some of the best cafes are Copenhagen, I am Vegan Babe and the super-popular Revolver.
Travelling with kids? Head to Old Man’s Beach for some surf lessons, where they can hire boards & instructors by the hour. You can also take them to Waterbom Bali in Kuta, where there are massive waterslides. For a cultural experience, they’ll enjoy a day at the famous Tanah Lot Temple (4.8 km away ) or a tour of the popular Sacred Monkey Forest Temple in Ubud. Follow this up with burgers at Pit Stop, BB 52 in Berawa or Penny Lane. There’s gelato at Al Bacio or Gaya at Echo Beach for dessert.
