1 Luxe Bedroom
Upstairs you will find the super oversized and romantic bedroom suite with fantastic views overlooking the jungle valley. Just imagine falling asleep with the sounds of the jungle and those fabulous views – how romantic! You will also find a lounge area to chill out, catch up on holiday reading, have your morning cuppa or meditate surrounded by those jungle views.
The room features a gorgeous four-poster bed with luxe Egyptian cotton sheets, white curtains around it for maximum romantic effects and wonderfully designed Chinese lamps on the nightstands to set the mood. There’s a safety deposit box to store valuables, slippers and a complimentary kimono to slip right into in the morning. There’s a bathtub in the private ensuite bathroom to add to the beautiful tropical ambience, with a rain shower and all the guests’ amenities you could want.

The living areas are spacious, bright and airy with lots of natural sunshine. The main room downstairs is adorned with traditional artefacts and cosy wooden interiors. You have a dining table where you can have those dreamy romantic dinners, plus a comfortable sofa where you can chill out and watch the latest Netflix. There’s a separate bathroom downstairs with a luxurious outdoor stone-carved bathtub and rain shower.

On the edge of a jungle valley with a river flowing down in the gorge lies the outdoor area of Villa Shamballa with a large and private infinity swimming pool where you can relax on the daybeds and catch up on sun holiday tanning. We spent five nights at this property and wish we could have stayed longer. The residence is spacious and well appointed, including attentive but discreet staff.
There is plenty of room to relax and unwind, including the incredible pool. The view is breathtaking, unspoiled, and tranquil. We enjoyed a couple of trips to local attractions (including walking to the Campuhan ridge walk) and meals out, but there's really no need to leave.
The food is excellent and the hosts were kind and easy to communicate with before we arrived. Really cannot recommend this place enough. We will return.

Honeymoon Paradise
Where to begin?! Any photos of this place do not do it justice, it really took our breath away.
We stayed here for the first week of our honeymoon. It was prefect.
Fully staffed and yet as private as you want it to be. The staff were so sweet and caring and the food was as good if not better than any restaurant we found.
The sun came up early but although the bedroom is open to elements it never good too warm and the sun never woke us.
The communication with the owners was the quickest and easiest I’ve experienced and they went out of their way to be helpful and make the stay as pleasant as it possibly could.
It’s not walking distance to Ubud really but who needs that when you the staff will arrange cheap taxi transport.
We hope to return one day.

For stays longer than 5 days, there is a complimentary airport pick-up where you will be met by one of the Bali Villa Escapes team and taken directly to Villa Shamballa. For shorter stays, we can arrange transport which will be quoted at the time of booking.
Can I have a late check-out at Villa Shamballa?
In most cases, check-in time for Villa Shamballa is 3 pm, and check-out time is noon. However, we will try our hardest to accommodate every guest’s different schedules and appreciate that aeroplane departure times from Bali can be late at night. Generally, a late checkout fee of 50% of the day rate will apply if the Villa is not pre-booked for another guest on your departure day, and you can stay at the Villa till 6 pm. You can also store your luggage at the Villa for the afternoon and return to meet your driver at a specified time, who will take you to Bali airport.
