Cafe Del Mar
Ibiza meets Canggu at Cafe Del Mar. These Ibizan vibes are fab, with large day beds, a massive swimming pool overlooking the beach, attentive staff, and yes, all the gorgeous people with shiny tanned bods. So, girls, make sure you’ve packed your best bikini for this beach club, as it’s the place to be seen. Located at Batu Belig Beach just outside Seminyak, Cafe Del Mar is a massive 10,000 sqm club with a huge DJ platform and loads of room to dance and let your hair down once the DJs start spinning the tunes. For the glam set, there are private cabanas you can hire for the day with a private pool that looks like your own private villa – how awesome! The tones are blue and white, which simply adds to the Ibiza theme and Cafe Del Mar brand. With multiple swim-up bars and a huge 1000-square-metre infinity pool, Cafe Del Mar should be the first stop on your Canggu Beach Club hop.

Finns
As the slogan says, Finns is the # 1 beach club in the World. A huge statement, but these guys have nailed it and deserve the swagger as Finns absolutely rocks Canggu! The vibe is fantastic; you’ll quickly see what I mean from the video. Glamour meets party meets ex-pat meets basically anyone with a great body that wants to party. It’s right on Berawa Beach, so you get sensational beach views and amazing sunsets, and you can do this with a few cocktails at the swim-up bar. They have a few options at Finn’s to spend up big time, from simple to ultra-VIP. Finns is also home to three of the best-rated restaurants in Canggu on Tripadvisor’s top 10 best restaurants: Mumbai Kitchen, Bondi Kitchen, and Sushi Bar Bali. You’re gonna love the vibe at Finns and 100% for sure to be a little bit drunk with a few extra calories, some new Whats App numbers and a big smile on your face. If there’s 1 beach club to go to in Canggu, it’s Finns – make sure you do it!!

The Lawn
Unique cocktails, gourmet nibblies, cool tunes, and fantastic views at Batu Bolong Beach (and yes, the super-hip crowd gather here for sunset drinks) makes The Lawn one of the hippest and most happening beach clubs in the entire Canggu (and Bali) area. The Lawn got its name from The green grass around the pool area, and it’s no wonder people love this place. The energy, vibe, and reputation make The Lawn party central. Plus, to add to this amazing place, there’s a beach-front pool, luxe daybeds and gorgeous suntanned people enjoying the Canggu scene. There’s also a delish restaurant, Skool, upstairs, which is a must-visit for dinner. All up, you’ve probably already done your research and know about The Lawn but take it from me it’s worth being here for sunset Bintangs.

The Times Beach Warung
While not one of the mega Canggu beach clubs, The Times (located next door to The LAwn) is a popular nook with a super-casual and relaxed vibe. Plant yourself on one of the bean bags and enjoy the sunset after a quick dip. They have a team of bartenders that can whip up a mojito and attentive staff that can deliver it to you as you lounge on the beach. If your peckish, there are nibblies and meals to have for dinner. In addition, the Times makes a great family hangout where the kids can enjoy being at the beach while the adults can chill out and have a few cold Bintangs.

La Brisa
If you were to describe La Brisa, it’s boho-chic on the beach. A relaxed tropical vibe, cool tunes, delish food and a beachfront swimming pool, make La Brisa the hippest beach club on Echo Beach. Watch the surfers catch the last waves of the day as you sip a few cocktails and down a few icy Bintangs with your mates – yep, this is a holiday paradise. La Brisa is from the same bunch of guys that brought La Laguna, La Favela and La Plancha to the island, so you know it’s gonna be fun. As soon as you enter La Brisa and see the reclaimed wooden deck chairs, you’ll know it’s time to strip down to your bikini/boardies and start the sun tanning and cocktail-sipping. Think old-world Spanish charm, super yummy cocktails, tall palms swaying on the breeze and cool tunes to make your lazy days memorable by the beach. La Brisa is where you come to really chill out with an unpretentious vibe, and yes, you’ll be returning for more.

Mari Beach Club
You’ll find the uber-stylish Mari Beach Club on the fringes of south Canggu. There’s really nothing like this on Bali when it comes to beach club bliss. This fantastic new beach club has elements of boho-chic and luxury, with loads of Bali hospitality and sensational beach views. The beauty about Mari is that it cleverly blends Balinese architecture into the design, so you really get a sense of being in tropical Bali as you sip a few sundowners with your mates. The club’s centrepiece is the family-friendly infinity swimming pool with a sunken bar for some swim-up Bintangs. There are also many day beds for lounging around, soaking up the sun and enjoying nibblies as you gaze out to the ocean – how blissful. Mari Beach Club is different from the other clubs as it is more low-key and less pretentious. So if you want a more laid back quieter beach club in Canggu, this is the place to be. Mari Beach Club is a great alternative if you’re staying in Seminyak and want to avoid battling the traffic to central Canggu.

COMO
Want to escape the crowds and party scene so prevalent at Canggu Beach Clubs? Then COMO is an excellent alternative. Not many people have heard of COMO, but it’s a more secluded and sophisticated place to sip cocktails and enjoy Bali’s famous sunset. COMO appears like a hotel where the pool area is reserved for guests, but it’s really a cool little hang with a restaurant, bar, and infinity pool. The sunbeds and floating beds are very comfy and great for spending the arvo with your mates. There is a minimum spend of Rp 200K or about AUD 20, but that’s fine as you can spend the day here soaking up the sun, listening to the ocean or taking the kids for a fun day out. The beauty of COMO is that it’s right on Echo Beach, which is great if you want to surf, as there are some great waves at the river mouth at Pererenan or right out front.

Atlas Beach Fest
Located on the popular beachfront of Berawa (conveniently behind Finns Beach Club – yes, there are two massive beach clubs next to each other in Berawa), Atlas Beach Fest has to be seen to be believed; it’s the size of a football stadium (30,000-metre square) and resembles it too. But, jokes aside, Atlas rocks and is the first mega beach club owned and operated by Indonesians. That’s not to say it’s made for locals, but this beach club draws huge crowds (holidaymakers and ex-pats) who come here for the experience and what an experience you’re going to get. A huge food mall-style street food-inspired area, cafes drawing from local Bali favourites, and yes, there’s the actual beach club with the music, multiple pools and all the hip, gorgeous and fantastic bods hanging here for the day and sunset. If you visit one beach club in Bali, Atlas Beach Fest has to be the one and only. So come for the day, and be prepared to be WOWED!

Old Man’s
The iconic Old Man’s at the end of Jalan Batu Bolong has re-opened its doors and was the original beach club /beer garden in the Canggu area. It’s got a very chilled vibe and great beach views. Food is pub style and reasonably priced, and it’s family-friendly, so you can take the kids for a meal while you have a few sunset Bintang’s. While it doesn’t have the glam as some of the other beach clubs, it’s still a top venue to chill out, kick back and spend some quality Bali time with your mates.
