Seminyak is known for its fantastic shopping, cafes, family Seminyak holiday villas, beaches, and happening nightlife.
However, it’s also home to some fantastic Indian restaurants, where the cuisine is as good as, not better than, in India!
So get out of the villa, leave the hotels, grab the nearest Go Jek, and head up into Seminyak for some of the best curries and naan breads you’ll find on the island.

Warung Taj
Warung Taj, located in Sunset Point Mall, is quick, well-priced, and full of flavour. It is the type of Indian street food we love for a quick fix of our favourites, like masala dosa, pani puri, and the oh-so-favourite chicken masala. While it’s not high-end dining, Warung Taj is where you come to satisfy those Indian food cravings without spending a fortune. It’s well worth it after a couple of Bintangs at the Seminyak pubs nearby.

Chai’Ba
Chai’Ba, just past Eat Street, is a casual Indian dining experience and a top spot for a great meal with the crew. There is a big selection of curries and tandoori dishes, and we tried the lamb korma, which was super delicious. The standout feature of Chai’Ba is the authenticity of the food and the original Indian flavours you get in the cooking—just like Mum used to make. There’s a decent selection of wines and beers for dinner, so settle in for a great night out with very tasty food.

Simple offerings but full of flavours and taste and budget-friendly, there’s a reason it’s been around for so long: the food, the excellent service, the chilled ambience and, of course, the handy central location. We love the fresh naan bread, and the veggie samosas are amazing. It’s in the Double Six area, so it’s the ideal place to eat after a few sunset drinks on the beach.

Plus, there are the rest of us who absolutely love Indian food.
