Villa Canggu South is a modern 4-bedroom Canggu holiday rental with large gardens & a fabulous 20-metre swimming pool.  The interiors are minimalist, with splashes of modern art, ornaments, and vibrant wall paintings as dominant features. This is a perfect choice if you love being in Canggu, close to the beach and all the restaurants and bars along the Batu Bolong area.

Outdoor and pool area

The manicured lawns are dissected by the seamless 20-metre-long swimming pool that stretches out into the garden away from the villa. Mature frangipani trees are strategically placed for maximum effect while comfortable sun lounges and parasols sit by the pool, ready for you to enjoy the tropical sun. An open-sided outdoor pavilion houses a dining table for guests to experience some culinary delights prepared by your chef in an alfresco setting. At the top end of the pool, close to the villa, is a wading pool, perfect for young children to play in safely.

The living area

Polished cement floors and stark white walls with minimalist furnishings create an art gallery sensation, thus allowing fine art to become an integral part of the living areas. A bulbous suede lounge provides ample space for guests to relax and unwind in front of the hi-tech media centre, which includes a surround sound stereo system. A separate formal dining room is luxurious; guests have a wonderful view through floor-to-ceiling, bi-folding glass doors that can be left open if desired.

Echo Beach is nearby, with great surfing and an array of cafes and bars. The popular area of Batu Bolong, where there are many cafes & restaurants, is also within walking distance. Make sure you try Crate, Deus ex Machina, The Lawn, Avocado Factory, Mason, Vida Cafe, Monsieur Spoon (for the best coffee and croissants), Shady Shack, Revolver & Warung Tiga for a well-priced meal.

Shopping. If you feel like shopping, Canggu has some great shops selling clothes, jewellery & homewares along Jalan Batu Bolong & Batu Mejan. There’s even a market called Love Anchor, which is open for 7 days and has many local vendors. For more shopping options, visit Seminyak’s trendy Oberoi area, where there are art galleries and lots more high-end boutiques. It’s only a short drive away & the villa’s complimentary car & driver will take you there.

Travelling with kids? Take them to the Finns Recreation Club, where there are large water slides, ten-pin bowling and a huge in-door trampoline called Bounce. You can also take them for a surf lesson at Old Man’s Beach, where they can hire boards and an instructor by the hour. Follow this up with dinner at BB52 Burgers, the new Milk and Madu (family-friendly) or Penny Lane and Luigi’s Hot Pizza. For dessert, there’s Bomba, Al Bacio or Gaya gelato.

Yoga & gyms. Three yoga studios nearby have daily classes if you want to keep your yoga practice up while on holiday. Head to The Practice on Jalan Batu Bolong, Samadi Yoga on Jalan Batu Mejan and Serentiy on Jalan Nelayan. For a gym workout, go to Bulls Gym, SOMA, Wunderlust, or Bali MMA. There’s also an F45 studio for cardio workouts nearby.

Day Spas. For the ladies, there are many amazing day spas nearby where you can get your hair and nails done to have one of those dreamy Balinese massages. For the best treatments, head to AMO, Goldust Beauty Lounge, MYNX and the popular Spring day spa.
