3 spacious bedrooms

Villa Matahari has three spacious and fully air-conditioned bedrooms and is built on a beachside bungalow with a traditional alang alang roof and many open spaces, which gives guests plenty of room to relax and unwind after a day of shopping and sightseeing. The main bedroom is on the ground floor, with the kitchen and open-plan living areas. The bedroom has an attached en-suite with a bathtub and rain shower. On the second floor, you’ll find the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms with another separate living area. Each bedroom boasts private en-suite bathrooms and tropical rain showers. All bedrooms have king-sized beds and come with a flat-screen TV.

Open-plan living areas

The living and dining areas are very spacious in Villa Matahari and have an open-plan design, allowing the Bali tropical breeze and sunlight to pour into the villa. There are comfy couches and dining where everyone can gather and relax and enjoy meals together. If you feel like cooking, there’s a fully equipped kitchen, but if you prefer, the villa staff can prepare meals for you and your family.

Swimming pool

The villa has a 14-metre swimming pool (perfect for a family with kids) with sun loungers to relax or chilled-out afternoon Bintangs. The living area opens so you can see the kids playing in the pool.

Villa Matahari is a perfect villa for holidaymakers seeking to be close to the centre of Seminyak’s best restaurants, bars and boutiques. Jalan Oberoi, or the famous Eat Street of Bali, is a short stroll away from Villa Matahari, offering a wide choice of fine dining restaurants, cafés and beach clubs. Likewise, Seminyak and Legian Beach are just 10 minutes away from the villa.

Travelling with kids? Take them to Waterbom Bali in Kuta for a fun day with the family on the waterslides or perhaps a surf lesson at Double Six Beach, where you can hire boards and instructors by the hour. For dinner, there are burgers at Grill’d, BossMan or Sisterfields and ribs at Naughty Nuris. For dessert, head to Candlicious for treats or yummy gelato at Gusto in Kerobokan.

Day Spas. Ladies, there are many day spas where you can get your hair and nails done and have one of those dreamy Balinese massages. Head to Jari Menari, The Shampoo Lounge or GLO Day Spa at the top of Eat Street for the best treatments.

Shopping. You can shop till you drop in Seminyak, where you can buy clothes, jewellery, homewares and more. Start at Seminyak Square and go along Jalan Kayu Aya or Eat Street. Then, head towards Legian for more shopping, where you can spend the day bargaining with locals for souvenirs.

Cafes & restaurants. There are many great, well-priced cafes and restaurants near Villa Matahari, where you can also take the kids for a bite. Ensure you visit Cornerhouse (family-friendly), Batik, the popular Revolver, Sea Circus, Monsieur Spoon or BAKED (pasties and croissants) and Shelter.

Fancy Partying? Start the night off at La Plancha at Double Six Beach for sunset cocktails, The Champagne Bar, or  The Forge on Eat Street for pre-dinner drinks. Then, it’s off to Motel Mexicola for tacos and tequila. Finally, continue the party at La Favela or Shi Shi, where you can dance till dawn.

Sightseeing.  From the villa, you can easily explore other parts of the island. Make sure you visit Tanah Lot Temple (for sunset photos), Ubud’s famous Monkey Forest Temple,  Uluwatu Temple, Kuta Beach and Canggu’s popular Batu Bolong area.
