If your lucky enough to be holidaying in the quiet and relatively untouched area of Bali known as Umalas then you really have to try having lunch or dinner at a fabulous restaurant called Warung Dua.
This is fast becoming a landmark in the Umalas area and tourists, locals and more than ever ex-pats are coming here to sample to fabulous local Balinese cuisine and western dishes.
There are also fresh juices, salads, the usual burgers, pizzas and fries and the cakes for dessert are really worth saving room for.
The beauty about Warung Dua is that is has a very relaxed and informal vibe where families can come with their kids staring from the beach or from swimming in their villa, grab a table and enjoy the tasty dishes that they can handpick from the glass counter. The food is really fresh and I can personally say extremely tasty and the best part about this is the price; it’s seriously good value. Feeding a family of 4 could cost you say $40 AUD max. Like most people, you’re probably staying in a Seminyak holiday villa but don’t worry as getting to Warung Dua is literally a 10 to 15-minute easy taxi ride away. You might be thinking why should you bother going to all this effort for a meal? But, trust us when we tell you it’s well worth the effort just to get out of Seminyak and see another side of Southern Bali. It’s a good escape for the afternoon and if your coming for dinner it’s really laid back and out of the hectic pace that you have probably been experiencing.
It’s located at No., Jl. Umalas II No.88, Kerobokan Kelod, Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung and is really in the heart of the Umalas main tourist area next to some other very cool little cafes. Smalls is now becoming really fashionable as a go-to holiday destination for people looking for a quieter more traditional Balinese experience.
